@@latin_13 Not necessarily true sir. I did it myself against 5 guys who were sitting on a low wall just outside the Greyhound Bus Depot in Atlanta Georgia back in 1973...at the time I was even wearing my Dress Blues (which got ripped in the armpits) because I was traveling home on leave. As full disclosure only two of them had weapons. One had a 'fish bat' and the other had a long police baton, so I guess your point is 'kinda' accurate. Back to the movie. DMZ - 1955's quotation from the movie is a great example of 'commitment to cause' as the Corp teaches you...hence, 'Ajax' is the true Warrior 'Bad-Ass'. I too would have been tired of "runnin' from these wimps!" It's always best to engage immediately because most people are naught but 'wind'...

@@willomina1990 I'm sure James Remar has done well for himself as an actor and that he has money in the bank but he was always more of an underrated character actor. Great actor and super-talented but I don't think he's as famous and wealthy an actor as the person who made that comment makes him out to be. Matt Damon talked about how Brad Pitt can't walk into a grocery store or walk down the street like a normal person without people recognizing him.I'm pretty sure James Remar could do that. That's not a back-handed compliment at all,by the way,it's just me saying that to say that Remar never reached the A-List pinnacle-level of fame and wealth like someone like Pitt has but then again, maybe he's okay with that.

I was immediately struck by Remar's performance in' The Warriors'. The scene with the 'Lizzies" was a real shocker.I was about 16 or 17 and even though it was obviously low budget of course all of us as teenagers loved it. I watch it whenever it's on- it still transfixes.

@@JayJay-sk9tj There's been a lot of talk of trying to make a reboot, remake or sequel(with younger actors) to The Warriors for years but I think one of the main reasons why it hasn't happened yet is because no one can figure out how to do it. I think pretty much the ONLY way to do a new Warriors film,is have it continue after they make it back to Coney and then have them get Ajax out of jail(there was a comic called ''Warriors:Jailbreak''where The Warriors break Ajax out of prison and I think elements of that would work for any hypothetical Warriors remake).

Grew up on the fighting streets of Boston and this guy could have filled in for some of the toughest. He just got the look and sound. Most people I know who reminded me of him died young. Glad James didn't choose the street. You don't get that grit growing up in the subs.

Walter Hill is one of the under rated directors who turned out multiple "cult" classics. When the movie came out, a number of Urban police forces tried to get the movies banned
