I saw you in Calgary 6 years ago. My late husband meant to buy 2 tickets on the floor in row six. He bought 6 tickets on the floor in row 2. We donated the other 4 tickets to the Mustard Seed in Calgary. The gal seated next to me lost everything in the Fort McMurray fire. You sang Fire and Rain. She was on her knees crying. I cried with her . You were in intermission and you stayed to sign autographs and talk. She got your autograph. See you in Edmonton. Your music has always had a place in my heart. Thank you for your music and for being the storyteller that you are.

James, I got clean because of your honest spirit back in the early 80's. I mimicked your finger picking style for years after, and became popular singing your songs. Your DNA seeped into my own. The love and richness I found in my attempt to sound as you do brought me the best days I have/will ever know. I had a stroke and I'm hard pressed to use my right hand, 12 years now, but I keep trying and getting closer to the old me. Thank you James. Hearing your calming voice today remains a source of hope for me, the wretched unbeliever that I am. You are my hero sir. Please continue your 'Jamesness'...many of us lean on you. I do love the James that you show me, Dearly.

Saw him in London a few years ago. During the interval instead of going for a (well earned!) break backstage he sat out front and chatted with the audience for 15 minutes until the band rejoined him. An absolute gentleman - serene and untroubled by fame...and an extraordinary writer and performer of songs.

The song Never Die Young in this particular show has so much meaning to me. I think having it slowed down like this put it in a whole new category of ballads. My favorite version of this song ever. My husband's mom just passed away last week and it makes me think about her, and my mom who will also be leaving me someday soon. Thank you for this song. I would love to cover this song with my husband sometime. Beautiful memories🙏

Love hearing JT stripped back down to the simplest, purest form, just one voice and one guitar. This song has an added layer of meaning since I lost my best friend to Brian cancer. She was one of those rare people who just "got" who I was and we nudged each other to be better versions of ourselves. Love this song

I am soooo glad/happy/grateful that you made your home in the beautiful Berkshires!!! My mom was born and raised there. She moved to NJ after the war because there was no work in MA. She met my dad and they married! Both are deceased now and missed. 🤧 I grew up visiting the Berkshires and still visit family relatives there. Family members live in beautiful Lenox, East Otis, Pittsfield, Housatonic, etc. Such a beautiful area in the USA. LOL, I will be 67 in August (have followed you since 1971), my funeral arrangements are already made. I will be buried in Housatonic with the beautiful mountains and sun and moon looking over me. I can't say enough about how much I love💓the Berkshires!!!!! I love you and Kim for providing so much financial help to that area!!! Looking forward to seeing you and Jackson live on August 28th in Holmdel, NJ. Keep up the good work and stay safe! The delta variant is getting dangerous and spreading quicker than chicken pots!!! Love to you, Kim and the family!

Hi James, Your music resonates in my soul. I saw you in Sydney about 20 years back at our big venue where the big performers played. During the interval when the lights came on you sat on the edge of the stage and chatted to anyone who wanted to come over. I watched in awe from the gallery. I have not seen this before or since. I have enormous respect for you personally and professionally. It is so cool to think that you lived in Sydney for a time. Interesting. It is nice to know about the dreamlike Berkshires.

Brilliant! Something strange happens when I listen to this song and many many others written by you. They are a constitutive part of my life, I don't know how to explain it,. My father was a big fan of yours and I grew up listening to your music from the cradle, you music has always been there with me. I was only able to attend a concert of yours here in Buenos Aires when I was very young, in 1994 (you played with Sting) but the second chance to attend your live concert in 2017 was canceled due to the rain, a pity really; although surely there will be another chance soon. You are the best! Thank you very for everything and best wishes from Buenos Aires!

What a horror it would have been to have torn down that beautiful performance hall. It’s such a great place for an intimate evening with the musical gifts of the famous balladeer James Taylor. James, you amaze me with the intricacy of your lyrics, and the folksy-jazz chord fusion, hammer-ons and pull-offs! Wish they could clone you as you were so we could keep this talent alive for hundreds of years to come. That Olson guitar just sings - and I have to admit, far better than the original Gibson J-50 that got you started. Every great artist deserves an upgrade - glad you got the Olson!

1971 Fall in Chapel Hill JT played Carmichael Auditorium (then UNC’s basketball facility) - I got 2 tickets but my sister, a HS senior, adored James - so I gave girlfriend Patty one ticket & sister the other - an hour before showtime I snuck into Carmichael via adjacent Woolen Gym - a guy in the tunnel asked me why was I there? - I told him I was with the stage crew - he assigned me to carry some co-axle cable where the spotlights were - I snuck down to floor level and laid Patty & sis’s blanket front row - I put a song request list on the piano - the week before event Patty & Sis had a screen printed t-shirt made with “Sweet Baby James” on front (green field with yellow letters) - I took the wrapped shirt to the dressing room but was stopped so I asked security to deliver it - the doors opened and Patty & sis joined me at floor level - within 10 feet of JT’s virtuosity - he played his first set - took a brief intermission - then started playing again - after a few more songs Patty pokes me & points toward the entry way from dressing room - standing against wall wearing t-shirt was Carly Simon! No shit! - can’t wait to return to Chapter Hill - Class of ‘74
