good for you and your dad.. you have a father with integrity. many amer-asian in Philippines are abandoned by their father, and cannot get the same result as you... I was stationed in Subic years ago, and saw many of that going on.. it was really sad... US congress pass a law for Vietnam and Korea for the respective war times, any Amerasians can come to the US without support from their fathers, but the law did not extend to Philippines - another injustice.

Conant Dad what if he had no support docs from his dad? the 2nd qualification, Will the story of aquiring USC gone otherwise?

@@MrRedthorn the rule is, a child born anywhere with a USC parent makes the child a USC. The challenge is proof. that is why you need DNA, support, petition, etc.,... so even w/out support, but there is DNA, and birth cert, then he can still get passport.... but I would also add, the he can sue his father for back child support, after establishing US Passport.

May kambal din ako James. Italiano naman kami, nag pa DNA ANCESTRY Kami Parehas. Kaya nakita namin yung totoong father namin nasa Dela ware nag sulat ako ng letter last yr 2x na kaso wala paring sagot. no support din since birth ang father ko. Wala din pictures para sa proof. Im 50yrs old na ngayon Sana hindi pa huli ang lahat. Nging master Sargent pa sya nung nung nasa air force 🥺

However, sa legitimation process po ba, sapat na pong proof yung presence ng father namin (kasi kasama po namin siya if ever na mainterview na kami) para magproceed kami sa Step 3: Affiliation? do you have idea po? thank you pooo 🥺

Sa Adult Derivative form po nakalagay lahat ng requirements. It took me like 4 months ata bago ko nakuha passport ko.

Thank you po, nirequire ba kayo na iprovide financial support receipts na complete from 1yr - 18yrs old kasi yu g mga receipt is malabo na and nawala na pero im assuming na pwede irequest yung data na yun sa remittance na pinapdalhan.

Sir james,napanood k ung blog m..pwede m rin b akong i guide...!? U.s citizen n ung father ko,b4 ako pinanganak..sa birth certificate ko in ackwoledge nya ako as a u.s citizen...out of wedlock kse ako..ang mama ko is pilipino...september 2009 nag apply ako pero denied...dahil insuficient evidence ako..patay na kse papa ko last 2003...wala p akong 18 nung namatay sya..may mga original documents na hawak ako mula sa papa ko...problema,wala kming picture ni isa...problema rin DNA kse patay na papa ko,mula nun,dkona inulit mag apply. Sana mapayuhan m ako sir..

Based from my experience, in that situation, unfortunately NO. Kaingan talaga na establish yung parent child legal relationship before ka mag 18. Last part nalang yang DNA test. Kapag hindi ka nakapasa sa mga una nilang requirement hindi ka nila papa DNA.

napakadali lang magpa cetizin kapag 1 of the parent is a US cetizin(sinasabi kasi karamihan mahirap pag US) pero yun na nga sa case mo ay 18 pataas ka na kaya mahihirapan ka talaga may iba naman kahit half sila pero ayaw ng US cetizin parent mag provide ng mga kailangan kaya mahirap talaga pero in your case napaka lucky mo kasi responsible Dad mo.
