Bro, that's very bad advice. If I had followed that advice, I'd be homeless right now. 😆 Calculate the risk and ask yourself if it's worth it. One of the players who really thinks for themselves and it's clear as day is Cole Palmer grew up in the Man City academy for sure. Had the best coaching could have easily turned into a player who just listened to what the coaches say, but instead when you see him at Chelsea's all over the pitch look at his heat map. He's wherever the ball is is where he is cuz he knows if he has the ball he can create for this team. And I think that's exactly what we're talking about here. He's the perfect example

I loved listening to this! I think Hazard is a good example but another example where that tactics has happened is Jack Grealish. There are interviews of him talking about the system he must follow under Pep compared to the free role he took under Dean Smith at Villa, especially in the Championship. Grealish is still a great player but his game has completely changed.

I think what a lot of Footballers and Pundits, don't see, or understand. Is that the vast majority of Football "Fans" don't go to watch football. They go to experience it. They go to scream, to chant and to shout. They go to have societal and communal interaction. To be part of a Tribe. To feel a part of something. They go to escape the economic system they are trapped in. They go to vent anger, and frustration. To give manifest to anxiety in their lives. The most visceral reactions are for goals (scoring, we are better than you), hurling abuse and (less and less these days) acts of violence, of physical dominance over your opponents over the other Tribe, i.e. the crunching tackle. We all know this deep down. It's the adrenaline rush, the dopamine dump that we go for, we go for the drug, not the football.

That would be a miniscule change because TV doesn't understand their pundits' job to be within the confines of the entertainment which is the match. Their intent, and yes, I use the term deliberately, is to ADD to the entertainment because they think they add to their audience that way. That's what makes all pundits EXECUTE their bosses' INTENT the way they can, changing their nature in places. Fancy dresses and hair for the gurls, childish behavior for the token king's fool, and all that. Do you still think you would want to watch Nedum in that environment, changing what he does best according to the yaysayers around him?

Some people just learn doing X fixes Y and when faced with an unfamiliar problem they just start spamming all the Xs they’ve picked up haha. If you actually understand the subject and WHY X fixes Y you can use that knowledge to come up with Z, which might fix a new problem.
