Jamie Bell Shows Off His 'Billy Elliot' Tap Skills

James welcomes Margaret Qualley to the show for the first time and asks about her last run-in with Jamie Bell, and after Margaret explains, Jamie demonstrates some tapping from his "Billy Elliot" days, and might be looking at another part that requires some tap shoes. And James asks Jamie about the last time he was supposed to appear on the show, but had a very valid reason for having to cancel on short notice.

Idk. Tap dance is one of those things where I can watch someone do it and have no idea if they did wonderfully or terribly. It all kind of looks…the same. To put in so much work for it a style like tap seems like such a waste, especially in this day and age. Like it’s not 1950; Hollywood is not gonna be impressed that you’re have a background in tap. Ballet, maybe. It’s still used in a lot of films and at the very least it gives women the kind of posture and poise that might make them look really graceful on film. But in general, I think an actor with a dance background in something more modern, at the very least jazz, is more likely to see a benefit in having that on their resume.
