Planar tracker is SOOOO useful! I love it for pop-out text and things like that. I've just used it to track a doorway and had Luigi there when it opened whilst the camera panned across. What are the other modes (perspective etc) good for?
@JamieFenn5 жыл бұрын
I agree! Its my go to tracker. Some of my other videos I could have used other ones but this one has yet to fail me. The different modes just work better on different clips for different uses. Its hard to explain but it all depends on what your camera is doing while its filming. (drone shot moving forward, camera on a tripod, hand held panning shots, it just depends... I experiment with all of them and use the one that gives the best results.

For the bonus idea, would you have to track each video back to the beginning of the clip? Or just track it to the last still/freeze frame?
@JamieFenn5 жыл бұрын
Jeff Bean you would simply repeat the first step of choosing freeze frames like I did for just that single one in the beginning. Then in the fusion composition repeat the process that’s necessary for each still frame. You may be able to copy and past your tracking data for different still frames but if one of the still frames goes beyond the original tracker data you may have to re track for that specific still. Hope that makes sense.

This is a really great tutorial. Thank you. I would point out, however, that the video title says Resolve 17 when the screen capture clearly shows the version used was 16. I noticed because of the lack of the Cut page. Not a huge deal, but it could be misleading to some.
@JamieFenn3 жыл бұрын
I took the cut page out of my workflow during this time (I turned it off in the menu settings in DR) And there's no difference between 17 and 16 for this tutorial.
