The thing I prefered in the manga is that Rimuru and Veldora spend few days in the cave in order to reduce Veldora's aura. So the Beastmen were extremely worried and tried to break into the cave. And the scene showed Rimuru's underlings confronting them and showing that they have an absolute trust in their almighty Slime.

So this is episode 1 of season 2 part 2. Due to covid it got delayed. The next several episodes are basically a cooldown period before the finale. Theres also a slice of life series called slime diaries that takes place between seasons 1&2 that does alot of background character work. Including several cute milim moments. Oh also geld generally acting as a playground/father for the cute goblin children. Oh also a heckin ADORABLE goblin loli. Oh also treyni opening a bar and eating potato chips... Shions master chef ability is actually quite broken and in the manga shes used it as a way to torture someone (along with copious amounts of full healing potions as she did so). Veldora is such a chad and hes epic and awesome. Theres also a movie coming this fall which is supposed to be between seasons 2 & 3.

I dont remember if this was mentioned in the anime, but in the manga and LN/WN rimuru noticed that elaludes nuclear level magic was actually fake, it was a self sustaining magic that appeared to be very high powered but actually had virtually no magicules feeding it other than what it was already using, it was essentially a lightshow to test rimuru. except you cant fool raphael that easily. Edit: thats also why the nuclear magic collapsed so easily without prematurely detonating when elen smacked her dad crossways to sunday 😅

A part of the reaction of the monsters to Veldora is that Veldora is almost literally a god. His aura was the reason why the Jura Forest has such powerful growth of nature, the reason why so many monsters were born of magicules(emanating from his aura that reaches even beyond the forest that is the size of over a quarter of the continent). His divine blessing (from him naming Rimuru) is the reason Rimuru and some of his subordinates(Ranga and Benimaru) can use some aspects of Veldora's unique Storm dragon magic (black lightning, Death Storm, Hell flames(the black flames), etc). His blessing is canonically classified as Divine, from him being one of the few True Dragons. Each True Dragon symbolizes a different aspect/concept of the world. The first True Dragon was Creation(and pure raw power of stars), the 2d is Fixation(ice, absence of movement and time and molecules and atoms), the 3rd is Acceleration(heat, the presence of movement and time and molecules and atoms). Veldora, the 4th True Dragon, is known as the Storm Dragon based on his draconic magic unique element, but that is only one part of the concept he represents. His concept is Chaos (both destruction (more storm side), but also chaotic growth of nature and life). Think of it like the two sides of Chaos. There's the pure destructive side, but there's also the Chaos Theory of natural evolution of life and everything really. The Jura Forest isn't just Veldora's domain because Veldora stays there (even before being sealed). It's also his domain because the forest itself originally spawns because Veldora was staying there.

Afterwards watch Season 2 episode 12.5 Veldora's Journal 2. The Veldora's Journal episodes are recaps of season 1 and 2A from our fav storm dragon's POV while he plays Shogi with Ifrit. Also while you are a fangirl for Veldora, I am a fanboy for Shuna especially after episode 45 (season 2 episode 21) Adalman the Index Finger. Terrifying fact about Veldora: The reason Rimuru had Veldora contain all of his aura within himself and not leak it out at all cost while in Tempest is that his aura by itself is enough to instantly kill ALL beings lower than Rank B and severely weaken all those below Rank A just from his close proximity (of the surrounding kilometer or so around Veldora, at all time). In other words, if he was to let his aura out while in Tempest, almost the entirety of the population of Tempest would instantly die. And this is only his casually non-serious aura. If he goes serious to battle someone and lets out even more concentrated magicules, it'd be enough to kill A rank beings. There's a reason why Veldora is thought of by most more so as a natural disaster than as an individual. Him just flying close to a city would be enough to cause enormous casualties even if he doesn't attack the city. Beyond just being among the strongest beings of the world, Veldora is in the lower half of those beings in terms of how skillful he is in combat, but he is however very close to the absolute top in terms of pure raw power.
