Being 7 in 1997 and playing the DKC series would be arguably some of the happiest memories I would ever cherish. The world was truly a different place then. I'm reminded of the growing pangs of my cousins who I discovered this game with, tensions between my aunts and uncles, the way we used to ride bikes to get together and play this like nothing else mattered, because it didn't. Then these comments make me realize we all experienced an era unlike any other, as if like magic, which all resounds through this timeless yet definitive classic soundtrack.

Always did like this tune. Such a chill song for such a frustrating level.

This is one of the rare ocasions where i think the ''remixed'' version is better than the original. Great JOB!

@@Sun-God2 Is it really? If u search DK2 OST and go to stickerbush symph they clearly sound diferent.
@39zack Жыл бұрын
@@eruda709both yes and no. As far as I understand it, Sam gets his hands on the same synths that was original used, uses the data from the game to recreate the tracks without any compression that is on the snes. That is the main reason why it sounds different, because its not heavy compressed. Also, Sam may master it differenty so its not 100% as how David made it originaly but its very close in my opinion. Also, this kind of music in the snes in the first place is insane, when you talk about the limitations of the snes, all dkc has insane music tracks

I think that the bass seems to lag behind the drums, whereas in the original it’s a tight groove. It might be worth revisiting later because otherwise the track is really great!

I've noticed in the more recent versions of the restoration, the hi hat doing off beats in the "chorus" of the songs is gone ;__; hopefully this is restored again soon! lol
