I am from Belgium and i have seen the two seasons of the netflix documentary Sunderland Till a I die. And I still admire this club and its supporters and stadium. I hope this club finds the right path again and can go back to the championship and premier league. I will also start a fifa career mode with sunderland. I hope to see a match at the stadium someday. I live in the US. I follow Sunderland closely since the Netflix series released. I’ve done my research and this club shouldn’t be this far down the league pyramid. If ownership doesn’t change soon I fear Sunderland will be a league 1 or a Championship side for several years. Similar to Leeds and Forest. It’s sad and I hope nothing but the best for the fans!

There was a fanzine called 5573 and the front cover was a cartoon of bob murray saying its not my fault, then terry butcher saying not mine either, the players saying well you cant blame us... then a final pic of the fans in unison saying well it must be our fault then ... rings true again now

I think the point I was making was that people buy clubs with the potential to make money. Hardly any club has what we do so we should be worth considerably more than every other L1 - just IMO. Say someone pays that (I’m fully aware nobody probably will & if Donald only paid £16-17m altogether then completely get why fans are pissed off) & invests a bit of money to get us into the Championship - we’d be worth quite a bit more than £37m. But there you go. Rest of this video as always bang on - and that clip at the end - spine tingling. Especially the fans section. Loved it ❤️

I like Sunderland and your fans can be amazing but when you've seen a sad succession of owners and managers roll through - perhaps the club needs to ask if there are deeper cultural problems in the business and unrealistic expectations from the fans. You guys feel like the league one version of Arsenal - unsustainable cost structure and so much pressure on the players that they are crushed by it. Sorry if this doesn't fit with your narrative but any wealthy entrepreneur or ambitious manager wouldn't touch Sunderland - poison chalice. I really do hope you can sort it out and get back to the Premier league.
