If your hair is high porosity like mine, you can try a protein treatment and then a deep conditioning treatment right after. Works really well for me when my hair is just refusing to hold moisture..I gotta do the treatment about once a month in order to keep my hair cuticles sealed up, otherwise it will revert back to being dry as a desert and super frizzy.
