It took years and years of protest and years of drafted men and many dead soldiers and dead civilians to end a war that should never have been started and, if you recall, for as awful as Nixon was he was voted into a second term before he finally resigned because he got caught lying on tape. She helped me work out and tame my middle aged spread in the 1980's and she's now showing me how to carry it on during my third act years. I love you, dearest Jane Fonda. The North Vietnamese used Fonda for their propaganda purposes and she willingly went along, because she liked the publicity, just like she likes getting it now. Fonda didn't just peacefully protest the war in Vietnam. She willingly gave aid to the enemy and therefor is a traitor, she is not a hero. She sat on the gun site of the SAMs that shot down US pilots and had her photo taken. When my Father and the other POWs said that they were tortured by the North Vietnamese, she publicly said that the POWs were "liars and that they were well treated." What kind of an awesome human being was she being then? And by the way, it's called lots of plastic surgery. I agree with you on one thing. I as well, would love to meet Jane Fonda and 'get into trouble'. I would just love to personally 'thank her' for her behavior during the Vietnam war and for what she said about my Father and the other POWs. I'm sure that if I did, I would definitely be in some 'trouble', but it would be worth it.

In my book, Putting Men In Their Proper Place by Rachel O’Connor, I suggest the creation of three new political parties: the Sky Party, the Water Party, and the Land Party,. In so doing people would each represent a different aspect of our environment and could within their party propose all the necessary legislation required to fix these three aspects of our climate needs. Even if one party loses, they would at least be bringing attention to all the concerns of those three aspects of our environment and universe. The earth, the oceans, and the sky all need representation. Plus by routing people into these three categories they wouldn’t be able to work against each other as they do now which is Republican versus Democrat. They would all be just furthering the concerns we need to be concerned about.

What can I do...? Don’t drive your car 1 or 2 days a week is a start. Walk instead or get a bike and rediscover your neighborhood. I've always liked her and respected how she stands up for her beliefs. She's willing to admit when she's wrong, too. I wish they hadn't used the soft focus lens or whatever you call it on her. I'm disappointed if that was her request. I thought she was being accepting of her age these days, with the grey hair and statement that she'll have no more cosmetic surgery.
