I just love how everything started with these two. Theyre two different people, in that Jane is spontaneous while Lisbon is by the book. But theyre also very similar: Lisbon is never afraid to say her opinion (something I think Jane loves about her, like it challenges him, and sees it as her being adorably cranky lol) while Jane is never ever afraid to say the truth for everyone. On top of that, Lisbon is like the best thing that every happened to Jane since his family's deaths. Fave couple, of all time. :)

He's also the best thing to happen to her. She's badly damaged by losing both of her parents at a young age, being physically abused, having to take care of her 3 brothers as a kid herself. She was drawn to Jane's steadfast loyalty to his murdered family, and saw someone who would never leave her (though he did, repeatedly). She didn't trust anyone, took a long time to trust Jane.

This is perhaps the most beautiful scene of the series Jane meant every word he said ….. The way he looks into her eyes and talks about trusting him literally melts every one Their coming together was inevitable since they loved each other deeply n on more than one occasions proved that they can risk their life for one another…… This being a detective show the focus was more on solving cases and personal relationships were sidetracked But in reality what worked for Mentalist was the chemistry between lead characters n ensemble cast We have had better crime shows than this but what worked for this show was how their relationship evolved Today we miss Mentalist not for the cases they solved but for the outstanding phenomenal ensemble cast They will always have a special place in our hearts ❤️Patrick Jane you will be remembered forever and this is no exaggeration, you are the most endearing characters ever on silver screen , it was so heartening to see you happy n contended at the end of show ; Your character deserved all the happiness that life could offer ; You n Lisbon are iconic characters and people will remember your outstanding work till eternity ❤

I notice Jane shows his level of trust - he will still let you fall but he will be there for you in the last seconds so that you won't hit the ground hard. This level of trust is better than nothing but it creates insecurity (e.g. he refused to answer Lisbon's calls at times)

@@cspresimir and how about when he said "I need your help " and she would go with his plans even if that got her in trouble,I am sorry but he had alternative motive for working with her and the moment he was done with what he was there to do he left, I am not saying he wasn't honest because I really think he did care very much about her ,but lets be real she was there for him no matter what, she was suspended several times in order to help him in hunting RJ, she almost lost her job and they all did ultimately, she stood by him even when he put his trust in Lorelei instead of her etc. So could she trust him 100% No ,and was he there always for her No because he disappeared without a word several times and come back when he needed help,but I can be wrong, that is just my opinion after rewatching the show

Wow, this scene is so cute. In season 1 they are very flirty together. And in this scene he seems disappointed about the fact, that lisbon is sceptical about trusting jane and because of that hard to get. But sometimes I think it may be possibe that at the beginning jane wasnt in love with her. But he wanted to make lisbon fall in love with him because he knew that with lisbon he had a weapon against red john. And because of the fact that lisbon never really showed her feelings or is very good in keeping her feelings to herself, he maybe found this interesting and so after years he really fell in love with her. So they developed a platonic love. Jane and i think lisbon too, knew that it had to be platonic until jane catches red john. When bosco died, he told jane that he has to kiss lisbon. In one episode she wanted to knew what bosco told jane before he died but jane hesitated and lied to her. He knew it wasnt the right time. Such a dramatic love story!!

Hottschrott Jane like or interest to lisbon since first time s5ep5. Lisbon the only woman who always been hug by him tightly. Jane always to love to hug her during s1 till 7. But because of their job, the rules in CBI, also their different background, jane has to tricks, little manipulate lisbon to love him. And he made it and knew it (s7 ep7 ending, jane know lisbon loves him) Remember jane said that he never/ not easy to gives up (s1- jane hypnotized lisbon) till he gets what he wants to). But actually lisbon is not a type of woman whom will tell her love feelings to others in the first place. Never happen. She keeps it for herself even more, she run away (as she told in 7ep 2 her story in jail). Finally jane realized, that he can loose lisbon at that time if he did not say the magic words (s6 ep 22). Actually Lisbon decition to live in DC pushed him to the edge, and made him confess his feeling. So lisbon stayed just for him. We can see many many many times jane made lisbon suffered, heart feelings, but lisbon loves him so much, the washington hand made socks and the green cup are the proofs. Everytime jane lost his way, lisbon always became his path. After he slept with lolerai... he looked for lisbon, when he met Kim, agent fisher, he cameback to lisbon. Lisbon is his real HOME for jane because Lisbon always there for him. But he is not always be there for theresa.(s6 ep 9 in plane) so lisbon is the best happened for him, after his first marriaged. What a very touching drama ...

Contraption? That's a Citroen! They invented synchro-mesh transmission, had front wheel drive before it was common, featured hydraulic suspension, crumple zones and super-comfy seats. In the early 1970's they were testing a new model and when they tried to do a roll-over test, they had to do a right angle turn at 100 mph to get it to roll over.
