The counter is beaten by superdash. Also his standing ki blasts can be cancelled with a down heavy making them perfect for baits. The air ki blasts can be cancelled by sword slash

From my testing, his savage skewer does more damage after a combo because it scales less. However, using the other super, you're much closer, allowing you to keep the pressure much more consistently. At least that's what I found.

Yeah, Savage Skewer is best for when you want to DHC and continue pressure with a different character, like for when Janemba has low HP.

He just needs some tiny buffs and he's going to be pretty wild. Also ki blast in neutral can be cancelled by the teleportation, so you can bait the super dash

Trunks and now; Janemba (Fighters with swords). All we need now is; Tapion or Dabura and we're set. With a whole set of DBZ characters with sword capability i.e. extended range etc's!

He has a shorter piccolo grab, a bardock type slash that wall bounces, a pretty good teleport and can solo snap. His lvl 3 is kinda hard to hit and his assist isn't the best but I'm sure there gonna buff both. I'd say janemba is a B+ character

I can double lvl 1 with Tien using Janemba’s assist. It’s pretty useful. He does have a different feeling than most of the characters. Will take a while to learn his stuff. I’m having a hard time coming up with some decent ToD, but he’s not about the damage but the pressure I guess. Fits really well with my Tien-Yamcha team.

@@ManuelGarcia-cu4kh yeah....but Trunks also has a hard time getting sliding knockdowns whereas Jenemba just needs to hit 2m in the air and he's got one. Jenemba basically does what Trunks does but better it. The only reason I can see to keep Trunks is because he's got a beam, but Jenemba has basically 2 beam supers and one can be done on air and on ground. Sorry Jenemba to me is just the way more fun character.

Actually his teleport can go in any direction you want him to on it’s own. You just have to press QCF+S and then quickly input he direction you wanna go before he reappears. Him having it mapped to QCB+S is kinda redundant.

Not really redundant. Easier to get to the '7' (or '1') position from a QCB than a QCF. And vice versa with QCB and '9'. So, not redundancy, but utility.

I found a solo combo that does about 4617(5344 when sparking) damage for 2 meters, I can also turn it into a 4 meter combo by using his Level 3 instead of Rakshasa's Claw, then it does 5384(6093 when sparking) damage, no assists needed whatsoever, this also led to me finding out that his Shadow Kick only teleports him to the ground on the first use if you let it happen, but if you use it twice in a row, it will not.

You forgot to mention that the third hit of his autocombo is a command grab. If they’re blocking, Janemba will teleport behind them and do that head smash-to-kick move, and you can super dash to them afterwards and start a combo

Jsyk, you can't airdash after teleporting from the ground to the air. But, you can TK the teleport on the ground, turning it into an air-to-air teleport that allows you to airdash, so you'll have more mixup options than just doing it normally.

I really like Janemba I made a team of Janemba Zamasu(fused) and SSJ Goku and Goku’s and Zamasu’s assists work really well with him I love his pressure game and he really needs that command grab to not be standing blocked the entire match but hey I love playing as him

Janemba is OD, he has a parry that instantly wins neutral and forces a block or allows u to convert, he has a move that takes you to the corner from anywhere on the screen, his assist is Gotenks part 2 and aloows any character to get extra damage, level 3 oki is really good, his set ups and mix up tools have so much creative potential it's ridiculous, and don't forget the 75% screen covering lariat that you can convert off with or without bar pretty easily. I WILL be maining this character

if they rework some of janemba's moves like mystical arm and hell gate I would want them to change the ex verssion for hell gate If the player holds the ex button janemba glows and touches the ground normally and when you press b on the ground he shoots of a mouth blast half screen for mystical arm if you hold ex then instead of crushing you againt the wall he grabs you and drags you through those rocks from the movie for extra damage but you cannot combo off of it I don't know I just kinda threw out idea's that might be intresting

Good video but I think you are overrating his assist. I think it‘s ok but not the best for extentions. You can properly extend it only in corners with some characters
