1:00 janet also did a flip in the pleasure principle. She handles alot of stunts in her choreography throughout the years that tend to her flexibility. She is known on tour to especially love floor choreography

Nasty boys still sound good today! Better than 95% of the music out there today.

3:28 the song is about her being sexually harassed in 1985 when she was 19 by a group of guys and her defending herself. She pioneered the movement in music where women were being vocal about their sexual independence and tolerance. 6:30 Nah she wasn't sexual at all in this song, if you look at the lyrics you would see that "Nasty" is a song by Janet that was inspired by a real incident when some abusive men tried to flirt with her. The song is an autobiographical account of confronting abusive men. It was created in response to street harassment that she encountered from some “nasty boys.

That was a synthesizer that you were thinking about that sounds like a whistle. She was talking about how nasty boys would never change.

No stunt double, Janet did all her flips. In this video and another. And her lyrics, dancering and videos are iconic. Dope reaction tho. Check out: The Pleasure Principle Rhythm Nation I Get Lonely (The original not the remix)

For a long time this was my favourite Janet song by far. Eventually it's been passed by Alright and Go Deep. However this remains my favourite video of hers.

JANET, I think you forget is a technical dancer. No stunt doubles. She did everything on her own. Backflips and splits...... everything is her.❤

Janet spent 3 str8 days learning to do a back flip for " The Pleasure principle", that's not a stunt double!
@rochaelrichards Жыл бұрын
No stunt double there... Janet actually does the flip just like in Pleasure Principle.

You should watch Janet's Documentary from last year, it will help anyone who is not familiar with her story to understand her impact in the industry. She is the Blueprint for many past and current artists such as Selena, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Ciara, Jennifer Lopez, Aaliyah, just to name a few. They have All verbally expressed her influence in their careers. The MTV ICON Special ( available on youtube ) in Janet's honor has Celebrities from every industry celebrating Janet's impact .Her live performances are extraordinary !

I think this album, Control from 1986, and Janet from 93 are her two best albums. Though I do love the title song from Rhythm Nation.

If you can, I recommend you listen to “The Cool Summer remix “ of this classic banger as well. And yes, that was a stunt double doing the backflip. It was actually Paula Abdul .

Not only did Paula Abdul appeared in the video, she choreographed it and won an award for it. Yeah baby, Props to my Girl Paula!

@2:05-ish, I think she says "Don't like no nasty car, don't like no nasty food" - the words said "girl" instead of "car". And 5:45-ish - she said "food" not "fruit"...
