Janet is an undeniable icon, who deserves more recognition than she gets in today's music.

TOTALLY agree!! She’s amazing and laid the path for so many of today’s artists! Wish she could do more great music like her earlier albums and have a huge comeback. Would love for her to do another album with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

You said it wise man Dereck! The image of Janet hugging and singing with herself in this video encapsulates the importance of self-love and self-acceptance on this terrible journey we travel on this loveless earth! Good job, Dereck!

This song peaked #04 in UK and was the Janet Jackson only #01 song on European Hot 100 during her career (so her biggest hit ever in Europe). The song was also #01 in US Hot 100 (But Janet had total of 10 #01 songs in US). It was the #04 best selling single worldwide of year 1998, the best she ever did making this song Janet Jackson biggest worldwide Hit. Janet Jackson only had another entry on TOP 10 best selling singles of the year worldwide and that was in 1993 when "That's The Way Love Goes" was #08 best selling single of 1993.

Among Janet's finest songs and music videos! It is the very first Janet single (including remixes), I ever purchased a copy of. Janet is a long time ally of the LGBT community. "The Velvet Rope" album lyrically included in such gay thematic explorations as both "Free Xone" and "Tonight's The Night."

Originally, this song will be a ballad, before she remixed this song during the recording session of the album. So the deeper version was the original vision Janet wanted to this song originally before she transformed this song in a House song.

I'm Brazilian. This month completed one year after the death of one of our greatest metal icons, André Matos. In honor of him, I would like to ask for two reactions to a song by the band Shaman, one of which André was the lead singer. The song is "Fairy Tale". It turns out that the studio version and the live version are different. The studio version explores female lyric singing and choirs, while the live version emphasizes the piano and violin. Both are excellent. There are lyric videos on KZbin for the studio version. The fans miss André. Thank you very much 🙏

But they have made soooooo many great songs: Thorn In My Side, There Must Be An Angel, Missionary Man, Would I Lie To You, Here Comes the Rain Again, Sex Crime, You Have Placed a Chill In My Heart, It's Alright (Baby's Coming Back), etc, etc, etc... 🥳😀🏳️🌈

A cameo by Madonna !!! Hahaha cause they love each other 😜😜😜 I'm not a fan of Janet Jackson but this album was great; together again, got till it's gone, I get lonely, every time.... amazing songs. In my opinion as it happened with Whitney Houston's my love is your love these two albums were overshadowed by Madonna's ray of light as pop stars and later by the miseducation of Lauryn Hill as R&B artists. But they were amazing (by the way you could react to that Whitney's album)

Very interesting you liked the breaks so much, it's my least favorite part of the song. They are even longer on the album version and I just don't know, they seem so bland and basic compared to the very melodic verses and choruses. They are ruining the song for me honestly and it sounds just like Saturday Night by Whigfield which is the definition of cheese.
