Hello & welcome to the first houseplant haul of 2023! Plant hauls will look a little different than what you're used to, if you've been following for a while. Each year I wind up tweaking it to not only make it interesting, but to also not go too crazy.
This year I'm sticking to a whole new wishlist. I'm trying to dwindle down my current collection with also buying more plants. Each plant I buy - another one finds a new home. These plant hauls will also be every other month instead of every month. This gives me time to find the best deal on a wishlist plant and doesn't leave me scrambling at the end of the month to show you guys something in my monthly hauls.
In each plant haul I'll go through the purchases by each month so you can see what I bought and when. I'll still also show you how much each thing costs - even though I will be ditching the grand total at the end 🥲
January/February were pretty good months to kick off 2023. I was able to check out a new plant shop and FINALLY get a plant shelf I'd been wanting for a long time.
I also wanted to throw in a re-pot and show the steps for how I to pot a new plant and what to do when you get a new plant ready to be introduced into your home & collection.

@@BotanicalBrunette I took the plunge and made my first on line plant order. I was so nervous. I ordered it on Feb 23 and received it today, the 25th. A beautiful 4” Obavata with new growth. It is in perfect condition. I am so excited to add that to my small collection of Hoyas.

Your new obavata is so pretty! I went to an Ecuagenera pop up a couple of weeks ago and got anthurium pallidiflorum, magnificum and forgetii, and a philodendron sp Columbia. I kind of went crazy, but they only come here once a year. I’m going to try to be good and not buy plants for a few months because my collection is getting too big.

the spot on the leaf looks fungal and it could spread to other plants so you may wanna chop that leaf! 🪴✂️💕

@The Botanical Brunette oh btw, I'm using arber fungicide as a soil drench cause apparently spores/ bacteria can be found in soil! very annoying but easy to care for if you get it early on! hope this helps for future reference!
