I thought you might appreciate the humour in this...and thus I received a sign that I think I've bought sufficient niche fragrances now...but I woke up in the middle of the night just now to an email--in French--from the House of Chabaud. I read a bit of French having grown up in Louisiana...where, because the part of Louisiana I lived in was the oldest in the Louisiana Purchase and ALL the government buildings are still labeled "en Frances"...with little tiny signs in English. I've also tried to learn French on several platforms during my life...just enough to be dangerous. Nevertheless...I opened the email and began browsing. ROFL!!! Thank goodness...the fragrance descriptions were in English so my brain was able to stop the mental gymnastics! (I can't find a yellow heart emoji...)

I've got to find a sample of Pavilion! My very favorite fragrance in the late 70s was Pavilion by Estee Lauder (it came out at the same time as White Linen and a green one that I can't recall atm, but the trio was introduced and *layering* was actually encouraged, way back then!) - Anyway, not that it's anything like that in the scent profile, but I'm taking it as a sign... (Celadon was that 3rd EL fragrance...in 1978!)❤

@@VeronicaSaysI did layer the two, loved it! Shared it with my perfume friend who comes over whenever either of us has any new perfumes or samples for our “sip and sniff” sessions. Glass of bubbles and testing out new fragrances. She loved it too. I left the testing strip on the kitchen bench and the combined scent was still discernible 8 days later! 😲 A bit softer on day 8, but goodness, how good is that? She said you’re a genius for coming up with that combo. Would love to see a full video of different combinations Veronica. No pressure 😃🇦🇺

I agree with you on the Wednesday bottle. It’s so beautiful and true to the Wednesday series. Unfortunately I’m not so sure the fragrance is for me. I usually prefer a lighter, brighter rose. It was a gift from my husband, so I want to make it work. If anyone has any layering ideas that might work with the notes in this fragrance to make it a bit more girly (I know, totally Not Wednesday Addams!) I’d love to hear suggestions.

Honestly, maybe just enjoy the bottle alone. Unpopular opinion, but I bought the Mickey and Minnie ones for the bottles. Now, I happen to enjoy the scents, too, but they are second to the bottle in cuteness. Layering for Wednesday might be hard. Maybe try a white floral or a rose fragrance. Or, if you prefer something deeper, perhaps an amber fragrance.

And in many cases I’m putting something away if I’m unsure of it and then pulling it out to retry another time. Hi Gorgeous. Blind bought Le Gourmand and I love it but it's extremely rich, dense, and straight up gooey chocolate and nutella. It's not as powdery as say a Chocolate Greedy. I've tried TF Vanilla Sx and didn't work for me. It smelled like a cheap vanilla candle with some camphor. My husband said it smells like the waiting room of a medical clinic..I know many like it, so I hope I don't offend anyone..that is how I perceive it

💛 The only scent I have from Tiziana Tirenzi is Chimaera . It also came in this box which opens up with a presentation that lights up. The bottle is a typical Tiziana Tirenzi bottle, though, no water.

💛 Watched the whole thing.💛 Got 30ml of Note Vanillée Nectar right after Xmas and really enjoyed wearing it in January. Lait de Biscuit is such a nice one to wear before bed or to lounge around in. It reminds me a little of Accident à la Vanille or Bianco Latte, but toned down. Really like Devotion, but the dry down reminds me of Lira. So I didn't buy a bottle... Sounds like your month was great! 😃

That list could not be more perfect. Some of those I have yet to try. I keep myself at a limit for how much I spend each moth on fragrance. The top wears of January were Coco Mystère by Le Monde Gourmand, Moonmilk by Stora Skuggan, Soleil de Feu by Tom Ford, Iris Cendre by Naomi Goodsir, and Bond 9 Chelsea Nights.

💛 Oops. I think I jumped the gun and bought Vanilla Love after you talked about it in a video. It's okay, but it didn't live up to my expectations either. I'm envious of that cute Wednesday cupcake, but I didn't love it off the sample card. Wonder Woman on the other hand is amazing IMO! I've definitely fallen down the cupcake rabbit hole. Rumor has it the Madeleine de Proust is a good dupe of old-school 90s Vanilla Apricot from Victoria's Secret? 🤷‍♀ Winners for the month of Jan. were White Musk from TBS, an oldie but goodie, Tom Ford Ombre Leather the 2018 formulation which was my "going out" scent for most of this month, Zara Warm Freedom, YSL Libre Platine, and Balmain Ambre Gris.
