Janus, great video! I believe it’s worth mentioning that Oslo is one of the most child friendly cities. Most of the museums are free for children, or have a budget friendly “family ticket” option. Safe travels!

Take the ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo for even more experiences. Watch the weather, the transit can be rough until your ship gets into the Oslo fjord.

Thank you Janus for sharing this Norway series. I really appreciate how informative and well made your videos are. My partner and I are heading to Europe in October, including Norway (Olso, Bergen, Lofoten, Senja and Tromso) and then Iceland, so you have been a big help.

Thank you for this guide of Oslo with stressing the highlights. The video gives a good idea of the Capital of Norway. I like your Grand Norway Road Trip showing the unique beauty of this country. Very impressive is reaching the Nordcap, the North point of Europe.

Thank you very much! I have so much material on the various cities that merited separate city guides which I will showcase over the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for more 👍😊

Hi Janus! Thank you for showing me the beautiful Oslo. Never been there, so I enjoyed this travel guide video. I found the tips very useful too 👍Did you try using public transport in the city? Looking forward to your next video 😊

Thank you Dina, I mainly used the electric scooters to get around. It’s a very convenient way to explore the city center

I was there in July. It's a lovely city. But I wonder what Oslo looks like in the winter....

How long would you recommend and if just using local transport, any day trips? Great videos as always 👍
@januslog8 ай бұрын
Thank you! The easiest would be a cruise on the Oslo fjord. Alternatively, you could take a train all the way to Bergen and back, possibly stopping in Flam. But for that, it may make sense to stay the night in Bergen and return back to Oslo the next day. 2 days in Oslo are enough if you want to see all major highlights.

Hi Janus. I have a question a bit off topic. Where did you get the music for this video and could you list it please? On a related topic, I’m hoping to go to Norway for the northern lights this winter and a trip to Oslo is in order. Thank you for the recommendations and keep ‘em coming. Good quality as always.

Thank you Michael! The music selection is from Artlist. I’ve started to use them fairly recently (since my Iceland video) as I really like the quality and diversity of tracks. It’s a fee based service but all their tracks can be listened to for free online. Safe travels to Norway, I’m sure you’ll have a great time there 👍

Helpful video. I am going to be in Oslo next month for half a day. Can I purchase a roundtrip ticket for the train using my credit card at the airport kiosk to get from Oslo airport to the city center and back? When I get to city center can I pay for lunch/dinner with my credit card or do I have to exchange some US dollars for Norwegian money?
@januslog7 ай бұрын
Thank you Elva! Yes, credit cards are widely accepted in Norway so you won’t have to exchange any currency.

I have 8 full days to visit Norway, Where should I go (What are the towns that I must see)?

In terms of cities, my favorite ones were Oslo and Bergen. But you may also want to check out my 6 episodes on my Norway trip for more inspiration. Stavanger and Bergen are great cities to start explorations into the fjords. But the North is also amazing!

Not as expensive as NYC and certainly far less expensive than Iceland.
