since Cl- ions are more in the ECF, I think there exist concentration gradient for it, and it will have the tendency to move inside the cell just like Na+, please explain why you said there is no gradient for Cl-

Hawa Mohamed Cl- is quite deffirent in most cells, sometimes the Cl- gradient is the same as the cell's gradient, so no net transport... however most cells can use GABA R proteins to have an IPSP trough Cl- movement

Can this happen with other ions as well? I mean, Carbonate, Phosphate, and such ions with negative charge? Is this the case with Iodide as well? (I-)

Great informative video, thank you so much. You might want to reconsider limiting the IPSPs to just ionotropic receptors. While IPSPs are more likely to be mediated by ionotropic receptors, some IPSPs are mediated by metabotropic receptors... I think they cause the closure of Ca++ channels...
