Google the picture of the Hachiko (dog) statue at Shibuya station, and show it to the station staff👋🤗👌and you'd be out at the massive famous Shibuya crossing. Hi Ian. Btw how much does records cost there in Japan? It seems like quite ex there. $100++ after converting to SGD. And which store sell records at good price in Tokyo? Btw tnx for sharing Ian. Great vid!!
@HiViNywschannel
@HiViNywschannel 7 жыл бұрын
Daillek Fiztroy Generally much cheaper than in Singapore. Japanese pressed original LPs of Japanese artists cost 750yen in Japan...mint and VG+++++ with Obi, but costs S$80- S$160 in Singapore! Many good jazz records in VG+ can be had for 1000yen to 2000 yen which would cost 2-3times in Singapore. 80s pop records cost about 1400yen here but costs $35 here in Singapore. Somemore, DiskUnion and Recofan offer discounts if one buys more than five records per single receipt. Those premium collectors' items blue note and rock first pressings may be market rate here...but one is able to inspect and listen to them before buying...much better than buying online where there are always lemons that come some times😅. Record shopping in Japan is much more enjoyable than in Singapore for most of us. Try it, brother 😄😄😄 Best Regards, ian

2 days EACH in Shibuya AND Akihabara : SPOT ON DECISION!!! THAT IS JUST LOVELY!!! Coz you would need time to recce the places, walk around to find the stores, snapping pictures of the prices of products, going along easy, not rushing, and just breathing easy and taking in all the sights and sounds, getting some brochures, catching some good food and going back to the hotel room to sit down, relax, drink water and going through the prices on the internet, your options, and going back to purchase on the second day of each place, making the 4 days a super fruitful and FULFILLING TRIP :-D !!!! Ah... dear Tim: my friends taught me this: flatten a box, bring it over to Tokyo, go vinyl shopping, bring back to hotel and open the box and tap up the edges, put vinyl records in, put your clothes in front and behind the records as buffer layers for the records, seal up the box and tape it up. Put on roller luggage and arrive at airport, check in the box with the words "Fragile" and "This Side Up".... it can be done, always successful. :-D All the very best Tim! - ian.
