As a Japanese person who has grown up partly in America (never lived in Europe, but I have visited Austria, Germany, and Greece on vacation), sure there are things we could do much better, but appliances aren't one of them. Insulation is generally so shitty anywhere south of Nagano it's like they never considered we have winters in Tokyo, but that's the closest thing to an appliance I can think of.

Duuude, the way Shibuya Kaho drew Rem is pure genius. She did a close up portrait so she doesn't need to draw too many details, because she's not as experienced as a full time Latte Artist. Like for example, the coffee cup draws the outline of Rem's hair, so no need to draw that. Works perfectly, as Rem's hair outline is basically a circle. Mind blowing.
