Bro, I really recommend the "Laya Chatura" a Kanjeera Quartet which is a live performance of the Kanjeera Instrument which is an accompaniment percussion instrument, but in this video is made the main instrument. This is an initiative as to how Kanjira (usually an accompaniment in Carnatic Music) can be explored to it's fullest potential as also a main instrument. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3fUl6Oij8ipr9U It is basically the minor percussive instrument, which is a wooden frame made of Jackfruit wood, and a leather membrane on one side. There is also a single pair of metal jingles which gives it a distinctive crisp edge when striking the membrane.

49:48 Other TMI about YOASOBI since I love them so much 😭 They are a duo that was formed and debuted in 2019 under Sony Music Entertainment Japan, composing of Vocaloid (voice synthesizer software) producer and songwriter Ayase, and singer-songwriter Ikura. The song Yoru ni kakeru or known as Racing into the night was produced and written by Ayase. The story is inspired by the story 'Thanatos no Yuwaku'. It is about a girl who tries to suicide, a guy who tries to stop her, she ends up being his grim reaper and the whole time she just tried convincing him to jump with her, at the end he agreed. It's such an interesting and genius song since the sound of it it's completely different from the storyline.

I really recommend these First Take performances, Mika Nakashima - Yuki no Hana and Queen Bee - Fire. Mika's Yuki no Hana was released in 2003 and its really well known in Japan. Her performance in The First Take was truly captivating, its prob my next favorite after LiSA's performances. Meanwhile, Queen Bee is a band and their lead singer, Avu-chan is openly transgender. I think their voice and sound are unique and you can see that in their song Fire. Thank you guys!!

Yeah! Finally, YOASOBI!! They are duo(songwriter(Ayase)&vocal(Ikura)) that make music from shot story, novel, manga. The original yoru ni kakeru is much faster than this and it interesting! (I love both versions). They also release English version of several songs which is amazing (the lyrics sound so similar to the Japanese one but it is in English!). The First Take is a Sony Music Japan channel, so most of the artists that come on to the first take are signed under or are artists whose music are distributed by sony music japan and its sub-labels (as is the case with the kpop groups that perform there). however, they have these events sometimes that showcase other artists. They held The First Take Stage which is a contest of sorts for new and upcoming artists. If i remember correctly, it was open to any nationality as long as they are living in Japan. The winner gets signed to their label, i think. For The First Take performances request next time: Shota Shimizu Mika Nakashima Rei Burnout Syndromes Little Glee Monster (+ the one featuring pentatonix - this was recorded remotely with LGM in Japan and PTX in the US since it was in the middle of the pandemic AND it's basically an uplifting pandemic song 😆)

I also wanna point out that Japanese is a tone language. So saying different words with different pitches and inflections changes the meanings so the language itself helps musically. Also I’d recommend Daddy Daddy Do first take.

Stray Kids released a season single It contains: Christmas EveL MV (very skz style song) 24 to 25: a song to STAYS for Christmas(more typical Christmas song) . I believe Felix has a bit more parts in it. There's one part where Felix sings and it transitions into Chan singing that can he mistaken as just Chan singing. Winter Fall MV, written by Han. what makes me so obsessed with japanese modern music is how experimental it is. it's like they sing backwards and i don't know how to explain it otherwise lol. also they made falsetto sound powerful and it's just the blend of absolute angelic vocals with then edgy notes coming in, it really enchants you.

Okay since you guys are reacting to my favorite Japanese artist, I wanted to write you a little TMI about them 😁 *ALI* (acronym for Alien Liberty International) is a multinational hip hop/funk band formed in Shibuya, Tokyo. All members of the band are mixed with roots in Japan, Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. I think you guys are not aware of the term "hafu", the Japanese word "hafu" -- or "half" in English -- refers to people who are ethnically half Japanese, and is now used more for multiethnic people in general in Japan. The reason why this is such a big deal it's since Japan is a pretty homogeneous country (98% of the population is considered Japanese) People who look different struggle with the apparent fascination with their heritage, brings unwanted attention and can invite casual racism. Some who consider themselves Japanese say it leaves them feeling othered in their own country. The main vocalist of the band is Leo Imamura. The song WILD SIDE is actually the opening of a famous anime called BEASTARS and it was composed by them and the lyrics were written by Leo and Jua (rapper and he's not in the band anymore). And the reason why the video is not officially in the The First Take channel is because on May 14, 2021, it was announced on the band's official website that they will be suspended indefinitely due to the drummer Kahadio's controversy. They had to delete all their music from their official platforms but now they are back obviously without the drummer lol.

Scars is from their second Japanese album and it came out after thunderous. While promoting they did both Mixtape: OH and Scars on The First Take. Stray Kids doesn't have fixed positions so I wouldn't say Bang Chan is considered a rapper in the group, he actually has always sung more than he raps in their songs. I think people get confused with him being part of 3racha, because they are usually referred to as a rap group. I don't know, I think it's a strength they have as a group that they don't have to follow any of the "main/lead/sub" labels and try to just use all their potential when making music!

So the ways you can say thank you in Japanese are どうも(doumo) casual short band thanx. ありがとう(arigato) little more formal but still standard casual thank you. ありがとうございます(arigato gozaimasu) is semi formal and signifies a higher level of gratitude. どうもありがとうございます(doumo arigato gozaimasu) is the most formal and the highest level of gratitude. However every single one essentially means thank you. Im still learning so forgive me if i missed anything or made a mistake. Not entirely related to the video itself, just one moment when you said something about arigato earlier in the vid. If you do reas this, if you liked yoasobi, i suggest Reol and ReoNa at some point, another two groups that i could recommend are garnedelia and egoist.

A comment I read a long time ago after the first time I watched LiSA x Uru (can't for the life of me remember where I saw it) described them this way. LiSA is like walking through a park when spring is in full bloom, pops of color and bright. Uru is like walking through the woods after a spring/summer rain, warm and mysterious yet serene.
