Cuz they didn't try to test kids. And only a kid would leave all that behind. An entire outfit with their DNA all over it, finger prints, their own blood also with their DNA all throughout it, literally everything needed to positively prove your identity. And a kid wouldn't arouse anyone's suspicion walking around on the street. Even if they were running and acting "strange". Cuz kids do that all the time.
@ScarletImpАй бұрын
Right, so theory time: As I understand it, DNA doesn't tell you literally where you're born. Just your genetic makeup. The killer is mixed-race, an Asian father and a white mother. The dirt in his pockets came from California, suggesting either (1) he and his family *were* American, or (2) he was visiting America. When you brought up the military base, and that he may have been a military brat, it would explain why he was never caught. My theory is that he and his family are American, and either his father or mother is part of the US military and was stationed there at the time. Killer may have been a skateboarding loud-mouth (as evidenced by Mikio being seen yelling at them) who got told off and decided Mikio and his family had to die for that. He sticks around for a few hours then returns home like nothing happens, ultimately moving away from Japan when the family gets re-assigned elsewhere.

@@MercuryAlphaInc Didn't they say that the sand was from the area around Edwards AFB (Air Force Base)? Edwards isn't near the ocean, and here a lot of bigger cities tend to have a skate park or two. I feel like this wouldve been the child of a US military service member, someone who grew up there but spoke English fluently and has dual citizenship and therefore was able to escape the country relatively undetected. The killer probably didn't buy any of the clothes, they would've been purchased by their parents instead. If you commit a crime like this and you're able to get out of the country before getting on the police radar, you're safe - this killer is living America/Canada, in their mid late 30s early 40s and they're never getting caught.

@@facetubetwit1444 although that's definitely a really good point, I think one of the more telling signs is that the sand was also found at the skatepark. That in particular and also being tied back to wearing bigger clothing, as well as the particularly brutal circumstance in which they were murdered leads me to believe that it wasn't a Japanese person otherwise there would be more killings like this. Also not to mention you have to be particularly strong to be able to break a knife in someone's head and then go kill two other people knowingly with a broken knife broken knife and only sustained a hand injury. That would be more telling of somebody who would have a larger stature and weight who can deliver more force behind each blow. Also the amount of tea that was drank even for a 2 to 10 hour period would still be pretty drastic that's a lot of fluid intake for one person. All these signs in particular lead my conclusion to be that it was a foreigner. Not even particularly an American as we said in the video, with somebody who simply has access and means to travel and would have committed the crime and fled do another place afterwards. Explaining why there weren't any more murders like this, because although the means of Entry seemed really premeditated. Yokouska is a bit of a train ride, it would take more than an hour, but also would explain having to wait in the morning because of the liberty, IF it was a service member, that could explain it. @spookylittlebatАй бұрын
Norman Bates was channeling his mother and doing what he imagined she would, after she died and his mind was in denial of this, so kept her alive by acting as her. Hannibal Lecter was forced to eat his little sister by these military dudes when he was a kid, tracked them down when he was older, and ate parts of them as poetic justice. He’d already crossed that line, it was normalised for him, and so that became his teaching rude people a lesson strategy. Whilst he appears quite sane, he’s thought to have CPTSD, with the cannibalism being his trauma response. I don’t know if I agree that it’s scarier to not understand what motivates these killers. I think it’s scarier to understand that any one of us could snap and become one of them one day. Our parents, our intimate partners, our kids, somebody you live right next to, somebody you work with, your doctor, your hairdresser… anybody. @@snazzydrew The people you should be mad at are those individuals who committed the crimes. They live as free people today. For real especially regarding the Furuta Case. To the point the press actually LEAKED the names of the boys who did it despite Japan's *extreme privacy laws* but everyone saw it as a reasonable move. Spoilers: I live in Japan and those "boys" are out free now with completely new identities. Good thing I'm not a teenage girl, I suppose 😅

The kawaii animal figure on the top right corner of some documents regarding the cold case at 7:21 really threw me off for a spin at the audacity of the situation but then again, I don’t know what else I expected from Japan. That place is crawling with cute anime shit everywhere no matter how grim the seedy underbelly of the countries history and society is as a whole. Like, just damn. Edit: sorry i meant left top corner I have severe dyspraxia and always get my left and right confused 2nd edit: sorry bottom left corner (again my horrible dyspraxia) 3rd edit: sorry I meant dyslexia but I also have dyspraxia (JFC)

its weird how all the stuff the killer had was bought in the year of the crime, they probably had only arrived in the country that year, otherwise they would most likely at least have an older knife if not clothes i mean you dont bring the knife you just got a few months ago somewhere if youre going to get rid of it you bring a dingy one, same with clothes unless for some reason you only have new stuff, honestly makes me believe more that it was a kid brought along with their parents job, probably was a army kid transferred that year

Hey, if you are doing some true crime stuff in the future, could you pls look at the noida double murder. imo, what could have been a pretty solvable case became a shitshow of a cold case only due to the sheer incompetence of the police force. It was so bad, that some of the events in relation to this case could be considered as borderline black humour, due to the sheer ridiculousness and stupidity with which the police conducted the investigation.

My guess is it is likely the older child of a US Airforce officer who either a) knew he would return home or b) was sent back right away when this was found out and then covered up. Based on the sand, clothing sizes and style, dna haplotypes, and just how brazen the amount of evidence left over was. Military brats tend to not care when overseas. It could also be tied into the argument at the skatepark as skateboarding was very popular with American teens at the time.
