Japan’s Takanami-class Destroyers: Making Waves In The Indo-Pacific

One of my favorites, mid-sized Destroyer (DD), primarily focuses on ASW with 8 SSM for ASuW with 32-cells Mk.41 VLS for ESSM (4 per cells) for air defense and VL-ASROC standoff ASW mission.

They are not self-defense Navy, their Navy even more stronger than many of the NATO countries .

It's a designation that came out of WWII. IIRC by the Japanese constitution their military is not allowed to conduct offensive operations

Japan's defense situation is not directory comparable to nations like Germany which borders other countries, and did border with Soviet Bloc, via land.

@@silafaupaulmeredith7251 JMSDF technically classifies every surface combatants as "escort ship", they were just translated into English as destroyers (they originally used 'destroyer escort' until those went out of fashion) but these are actually quite close to Spruances and earlier US destroyers, so that's one thing, Burkes are just a lot bigger than average

Your video would be a lot better if you hired an actor for your voice work. Along with a monotone voice there are many words pronounced wrong. The front of the ship is not the same item that an archer uses.

Takanami class is contemporaneous with the Type 052B. It is ridiculous to compare it to the Type 055, which entered service in the 2020s.
