Japan travel on a budget: 3 prefectures in 3 days for ¥10,000!

Calling all Japan lovers! Want know how you can travel for just a bit over ¥10,000 visiting 3 prefectures in 3 days using the bullet train? This transport pass is available for all foreign passport holders. Spend less on transport, so that you can spend more on food!!!
I visited Gunma, Tochigi and Niigata prefectures. Have you heard about any of them? Follow my adventures to find out where I went and what I ate... and hopefully this will help you plan your next trip to Japan! I purchased it at JR East Travel Service Centre. If you let them know what you want to do (just play with snow or to actually ski/snowboard), I’m sure the helpful staff will be able to give you the best option!

Hi! I'm traveling to Tokyo on the 1st week of December. Should I buy the Tokyo wide pass now or do I wait a month before my travel before I buy?

Hello! You can buy it anytime before you travel… If you’re thinking of reserving seats for the bullet train then you can buy them earlier. FYI: The prices have just increased to ¥15,000 now 😤 Still worth it but yea make sure to make full use of it!

Haha I hope you love the yakimanju as much as I do! 😅 the good thing is Takasaki is so centrally located, so it’s easy to stop by after Gala Yuzawa for a meal before heading back to Tokyo!

This might be a little late in replies, but I did one night stay in Utsunomiya. And yes I returned home for the other night. If you book your accommodation in Ueno, I think it’s possible!

Where is JR east Travel Center located in Tokyo?

They are in many main train stations, for example Shinjuku alone has 2 (one around south exit and the other one I think East/west). You can find the info on JR East website, Inc location and opening hours.
