I just made this and am having on my salad for lunch! I didn't have an apple so I used a little apple cider vinegar in place of some of the rice vinegar. And I had only low-sodium soy sauce so found that I needed to add a bit of salt. The flavor is delicious! I might use a little less oil next time, for my taste, so the ginger flavor is even more concentrated, but still in all this is a delicious dressing! Thank you!

Wil - - Many of us vegans out here are doing SOS - - no Sugar, no Oil, no Salt - - but still want to enjoy your flavor profiles. Do you have any ideas for an oil-free Ginger or Sesame Ginger dressing ??? Also, same question about your famous Chili Oil ???
@carolwilliams70523 жыл бұрын
@Bijan Mehrpour No, you are mistaken. In case you have a misconception about SOS, it's NOT a fat-free, sodium-free way of eating. Healthy, unadulterated fatty acids are easily obtained from whole grains, nuts, seeds and avocado. Also, there is sufficient sodium in many vegetables and we also use reasonable amounts of miso, soy sauce or tamari, and liquid or coconut aminos. Sugar that has been refined and/or concentrated in any way is not necessary, but there are plenty of natural sugars in whole fruits.

If u want such a strict diet-ask other vegans?
@carolwilliams70523 жыл бұрын
@@judysalt3698 It isn't strict, it's just different. To many carnivores and vegetarians, vegan already seems strict. This is Wil's channel and HE is publishing HIS vegan recipes here - - so HE is "the horse's mouth", so to speak. I don't understand why you'd think I WOULDN'T ask him.

I subbed the grape seed for EVOO, used 1/4 of a Valdalia onion in place of the shallot, left out the apple and sugar and used a medium carrot and 1 tbsp of honey respectively. Only went 1 tbsp of soy sauce and tahini (sesame paste) so next batch I'll either go 2-2 or 1-2. It's really tasty and my Braun immersion blender worked just fine but you'd need to be careful on a Vitamix because it's really easy to liquefy stuff that you want a bit chunky.
