My new go to dressing! Mahalo from Hawaii! I used apple cider vinegar instead of rice, and chili paste as well as chili oil, didn't peel my gala apple, olive oil instead of grapeseed oil and although it didn't need, added just a pinch of salt and pepper. It's phenomenal.

I just made this and am having on my salad for lunch! I didn't have an apple so I used a little apple cider vinegar in place of some of the rice vinegar. And I had only low-sodium soy sauce so found that I needed to add a bit of salt. The flavor is delicious! I might use a little less oil next time, for my taste, so the ginger flavor is even more concentrated, but still in all this is a delicious dressing! Thank you!

Wil - - Many of us vegans out here are doing SOS - - no Sugar, no Oil, no Salt - - but still want to enjoy your flavor profiles. Do you have any ideas for an oil-free Ginger or Sesame Ginger dressing ??? Also, same question about your famous Chili Oil ???
@carolwilliams7052
@carolwilliams7052 3 жыл бұрын
@Bijan Mehrpour No, you are mistaken. In case you have a misconception about SOS, it's NOT a fat-free, sodium-free way of eating. Healthy, unadulterated fatty acids are easily obtained from whole grains, nuts, seeds and avocado. Also, there is sufficient sodium in many vegetables and we also use reasonable amounts of miso, soy sauce or tamari, and liquid or coconut aminos. Sugar that has been refined and/or concentrated in any way is not necessary, but there are plenty of natural sugars in whole fruits.

I subbed the grape seed for EVOO, used 1/4 of a Valdalia onion in place of the shallot, left out the apple and sugar and used a medium carrot and 1 tbsp of honey respectively. Only went 1 tbsp of soy sauce and tahini (sesame paste) so next batch I'll either go 2-2 or 1-2. It's really tasty and my Braun immersion blender worked just fine but you'd need to be careful on a Vitamix because it's really easy to liquefy stuff that you want a bit chunky.

I love Ginger. I ferment in honey but wanted to make this sauce. I have everything on hand except shallots. Will white onion do? Thank you for being fabulous. God bless you 🌹

Can I prepare this dressing and keep it in a fridge for later usage? How long it will stay fresh in the refrigerator?

Yeah, that's what I need to know. HOw long does it keep, given it has fresh apple in it. Without that, I'd say it'd keep a week or so.

@@marshwetland3808 but the dressing also has vinegar, which kind of preserves even fresh apples. Just a thought. ! Except fresh apple all other ingredients have longer shelf life...

I make a cashew yoghurt which is a good substitute. It is sad that this young man has not done the CNS course for nutrition. If he did he could adapt a lot of his recipes to be healthy for the majority of people as well as delicious.

I'm sure u can just leave it out since you're getting fat from the sesame paste and then just add a little water or broth for the liquid

Grape seed oil is alkaline and is an oil that easily digests which doesn’t form any fat in the body 🤷🏾‍♀️
