I have recently started growing JM's. I made a short video on my YT channel showing my first Acer Palmatum cuttings I took in late March. I have 12 of them that made it through the summer. I have a few other varieties now taken a few days ago also which I showed at the end. Your JM's look wonderful, all mine are this years cuttings apart from a Sycamore Maple my Dad gave me as a sapling in 2000 which looks great now. Happy growing :)

Beautiful, Shirasawanum are one of my favourites, I have Aureum and Autumn moon. I like the Osakazuki but they grow large. The variegated ones like Ukigomo (floating cloud) are also beautiful. Never have enough. Thanks.

Fantastic, it is a beautiful tree. Especially in autumn when looking through the leaves towards the sun - the color is amazing. For your reference, we planted our Bloodgood maple 5 or 6 years ago. It was a larger nursery tree, but by far not as large as it is today. It has grown quite fast and I'm sure yours will too :)

There are several videos on my channel where you can see the maples with foliage like for example this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWavoX9srq6InKs. You can also have a look at the garden tour videos :)

Wonderful plant, congratulations. I'm trying to find some seeds of the Acer sango kaku, have you ever seeing seeds of it available for sale ?
@OurJapaneseGardenEscape

Thank you. I have not been looking for seeds, since all our maples, except for the Mikasa yama, are nursery grown plants. However, I have seen in the past that maple seeds are available on Amazon. Hope you will find your seeds!

@@OurJapaneseGardenEscape Thanks, I will keep looking. I found just one citation about sango kaku seeds, in a forum from 10 years ago, some guy from UK collected seeds from a sango kaku tree.
@OurJapaneseGardenEscape
@OurJapaneseGardenEscape 2 жыл бұрын
@@MuriloCRuy You could maybe also search for coral bark maple seeds (a more common name for this maple). Otherwise you could look for a nursery grown maple. The sango kaku maple should be fairly easy to find in Europe, UK and the USA.

Hello ,Next year i would like to buy a lot of seed from your palmatum maples. Preferably from the one generic palmatum at 6:10. Would you sell to me? I source seed from different places in Europe to use as rootstock.
@OurJapaneseGardenEscape
@OurJapaneseGardenEscape 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes, sure it is possible. Not every maple develops a lot of seeds though. The one at 06:10 only had a few seeds this year. However, we have another palmatum that has more seeds (not shown in this video). Also the Bloodgood and O Sakazuki maples have loads of seeds. Please just DM me on ourjapanesegardenescape@gmail.com or on Instagram.
