I went to live and study Japanese in Tokyo for 6 months last year and it was really a dream come true. I had been studying from your videos and books mainly, therefore I was placed in a more advanced class! Whenever other students asked me how to get better, I always reccomend them your books and videos as they really helped me get to my level ^^ I cant wait to get back to Japan

That Kanji book has my favourite design of any Japanese learning book. I can't remember who you said designed them(when you mentioned it on the stream the other month) but stay friends with them, they're amazing xD

Hi @Timeisallthatmattersinlife1. I think later part of your japanese sentences is a little wrong. I guess you wanted to say "8 years ago". If it's what you wanted to say, later part should use 8年まえ（前）. And you shoul use を as an object marker instead of a subject marker が when you use a transitive verb 始めました. Thank you.

I started again on June 20 because my last term exam was quite hard , and I didn't have much time to watch KZbin 😢. So, I decided to restart. I'm currently at course 1 , and it's interesting to learn a new language . It's also easy to understand . Hope i learn it properly by giving much effort 😉

I need to relearn as I was not taught the proper way. So I'm going to have to relearn using nothing but Japanese no romanized. Regardless I still want to eventually get the whole set. With the special edition covers. As for local teachers there really aren't none in this part of Florida unless you go to the local college and do online course. There is a Japanese girl working at a gas station I was going to ask her but I don't know that might be weird I did put out an ad on Facebook but no one's responded. But yes I am determined to learn this or should I say relearn it

For sure your books helped me a lot with my Japanese and other books to learn it. My dissertation for War and History was on the Bakumatsu/Boshin War/Imperial Japanese Army (rise and fall) and had to use Japanese documents from the time, granted I did need one friend to help translate parts, Japanese books which I couldn't get in English and such. xD

Leant some new words from it all like monme, never knew much about Japanese units of measurement till that, how much one 1 ryō was worth and the likes.

I actually started reading the Quran. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me. But there are parts of the Quran that I learned about that I think are fascinating. Other parts not so much.
