she is cute and polite; she took her time to explain what goes first. I am making miso with shitake mushrooms, seaweeds, tofu, green onions and miso paste. My always confusion was::: do I boil the seaweeds until tender or just a few minutes? I also like to add soy beans. thank you so kindly

I thought you didnt boil the soup once the miso is in? I mean you put in the miso after you turn off the heat because boiling kills it? I am probably wrong because I am new to miso soup and this girl seems to know her Japanese cooking. This is the easiest to follow Miso Soup tutorial I have seen...Thanks so much...I liked and subbed!

I bought some yellow miso a little while ago and was using that to make soup but you suggested using white or red. what is the difference for making soup? and what is the difference between the different kinds of miso? also, what else can I use my miso paste for other than soup? thanks!
@ayumiscooking9279
@ayumiscooking9279 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question! You can use any kind of miso and the difference is taste. Red miso has intense saltiness and white miso has sweeter taste:). Also, different taste for each company. And, you can use miso for a lot of food! Please check my videos of Pork miso, saikyo yaki (from Salmon 3 ways). I will make more videos of miso!

Wash dried shiitake and let them soak water for 12 - 24 hours in a fridge:) (500ml of water for 5 - 6 dried shiitake mushrooms). If you wanna make it fast, after you wash them, cut them into tiny pieces and let them soak water for an hour in a fridge:)

Question, would you follow the recommended direction to soak the wakame in cold water first before adding it to the soup or would it be fine to directly add it to the soup?
@ayumiscooking9279

Thank you for the question! They usually have instructions on the package. Sometimes you can add them directly in the soup, sometimes you need to wash. Depending on which product you buy👍🏻
