Japanese Food Craftsman

Күн бұрын

The owner has experienced many a lot of jobs so far such as barber , cook in another restaurant and so on.
However, those were not suit him and then he gave up.
But he never gave up to find what he wants to.
Finally, He found a job. It is Yatai.
In Japan, it is not good to quit job a lot.
But in my opinion, it is good thing. Because quitting job is that kind of challenging
a new step to find what you want to. That means new journey of your life.
There is one more thing
Is that quitting job is more difficult than starting.
It stands for bravery for people who chose to quit a job in Japan.

What really impresses me the most about these people who have a Yatai is how much work it is just to set it all up! Then to take it all down and have to walk the whole thing a few blocks. Both ways. Plus of course all the work in cooking and cleaning! Wow! Have to have so much tenacity to do this.

The two sentiments I often come across that yatai owners express is that it is hard work, but it is fun. I really admire their hard work and that it is something they ultimately enjoy.

It's incredible to see these resilient hard workers build and take down their shop every day in good weather, I can only imagine what it is like on days with bad weather. Much respect from across the Pacific. Great channel, if you can capture bad weather business despite the additional difficulties it would help really showing what these people are made of. Thanks for the great content and inspiring people.

Absolutely love your videos. Gotta visit Hakata one day. One small suggestion, it should be 1 million Yen, instead of 1 million dollar. Because usually people would think it's US dollar, which would be scary :)

this video really amplify the meaning of enjoying one's work or job. Like okay there might be "easy" more "secure job" out there. But for one it can be boring and or it gets boring specially when you do not love or like doing it at all. In the other hand for this video as an example being a Yatai owner. It does not matter if the work is really "hard". As we see on the multiple Yatai videos it is hard work. But it seems like when you really do "enjoy" your work/job and have fun with it and be your own boss. It really does not matter if its "hard". Cause when you really enjoy it, then you make wonders and will keep going no matter what life throws at you. Big respect to the owner for never giving up. Having such spirit is rare and people can learn from this.

The Yatai stalls in Fukuoka are licensed by the municipal government to only operate during the nighttime. As part of those regulations, the stalls are required to be assembled and disassembled each day. That regulatory structure also functions as protections for the small business owners and the local Yatai culture. It prevents large operators from displacing those vendors.
