Jared Kushner Says Palestinians Need a Functioning State

Jared Kushner said he believes the Hamas attack on Israel was aimed at thwarting regional stabilization efforts, including talks between Saudi Arabia and Israel. Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative summit in Saudi Arabia, Kushner also said the Abraham Accords are more important now than ever before and emphasized the importance of Palestinian people having a functioning state.

He was President Trumps senior advisor in the middle east and a close negotiator of the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. He was instrumental in signing the Abraham accords between Israel and many Arab states. He looked at the middle east issue through fresh eyes and when the old dogs in Washington said he's wasting his time, he actually got a tremendous amount of good work done. I'm not trying to be arrogant to you. I'm genuinely just trying to show you that he's got quite impressive credentials on the subject.

What are you talking about?!! Palestine doesn't exist and the Arabs have always rejected a Palestinian state. The lands Israel has was legally obtained via the UN partition plan in 1947 and all other lands were taken in war when they were attacked. Gaza belonged to Egypt, which they have never requested back nor Jordan, the West Bank or Jerusalem even though they hold full authority over the Temple Mount courtesy of Israel...as for settlers all 21 settlements in and around Gaza were removed in 2005 and 9 000 Israelis displaced as a result, from lands they legally purchased...name me one settlement the Arabs have handed over to Israel for peace?!!

If we do not know what justice is anymore, we are in serious trouble. The history of trouble is on the side of Palestinians. They were invaded by gun toting settlers who wanted that land. The claims of the settlers were backed up unconditionally by the empire builders Extraordinaire: US AND UK. What I want to know is this. Where in the United Nation's Charter does it say that an armed invader has the right to take over the land of the existing population. I have searched for this document. It is my belief that this document can only be found in a book called "THE PRINCE" by Machiavelli.

It was originally part of Jordan, not Palestine, and the military occupation and the right to administer the West Bank is settled in Israel's favor by the International Court of Justice. What remains in dispute is that Israel, or the settlers believe the military occupation grants them the right to physical occupation, the UN and others think the military occupation should be over by now, and that in any case it was never an annexation permitting moving in, so to speak. So they have rights - and responsibilities - over the West Bank, as military occupiers. For instance, the US, Britain, Russia and France occupied Germany after WW II for 7 years. That didn't mean Germany was part of the US, for instance. But Israel/West Bank has a different history, that makes it more problematic to sort out.
