We’re 4 months into the licensing process. It’s almost like they don’t want people to do fostering. They drag their feet like no other! These kids need stability and a safe place. You think that would be enough to expedite. But no. They go weeks without contact or completing necessary paperwork. It’s so frustrating.

Exactly! It's really not hard to figure this out. For a long time the they have passed, or tried to pass, legislation under the auspices of helping using the common key phrases or buzz words i.e. the elderly, kids, parks or education. All the while having alternative means as you point out.

I cant agree with you anymore Chase you defiantly said it with this whole foster care bill. I myself was a foster child, my brother as well. My brother is now a foster parent as well as a case manager. And we are both very strong hard Jesus followers, and we stand up for our beliefs. It's just truly sad with what this world is coming to however nothing surprises me anymore all I know is one thing that we can stand firm on is that the word of our God will never change. The president, Congress, or santa himself can't take our God away from us. We just signed a petition for this bill not to be passed. God created us and he made male and female not all this additional stuff these people are coming up with. And I feel like I'm not up to par with certain things this world is coming to. I say this because I'm just now learning that people are now calling themselves furbies and ADULTS yes adults are placing liter boxes in the school restrooms now not because they have school pets but because this world has corrupted these children's minds to where they think they are animals its truly sad. I refuse to teach my kids or anyone else's kids things that are far from the truth. Especially when the truth is in the bible. I REFUSE TO CHANGE GODS WORD. We were on a waitlist to be approved for adoption through our states DFCS program. The waitlist was 3 years. We waited 3 years to get a call. We had to go through the same approval process as foster parents and it took almost 7 months for our home study to be approved. I do understand that you need healthy households for children but the process is too long. That keeps a lot of families from being foster parents/homes. Some many children need good, loving homes and for it to be left up to the state only for them to drag their feet and waste time is very sad.

The thing to remember about the separation of church and state, it wasn't made to keep God out of the government, look at our pledge and our currency, God is included. What it is, separation of church and state, is a concept and policy put in effect to protect the church (the people) from the government. In Europe, the kings could dictate religious practices, in the New World the founding fathers said nope, we're out on that, the government is staying away from our worship.
