Exceptional review, tough one! Rating on point! To be honest I listened to this twice (loud!) in my car and just couldn't understand anything he said except two lines ha! I loved dirt road anthem, but this song warrants him the Post Malone (mumble rap) of country music title LoL! (said with love) So Rockn2Country sat with "The Rock of Yoga"! Now there's an interesting story! Thanks for mentioning yoga, it brought light to a whole new venue for me to explore!

@Christine Ems I'll post my yoga video on here once I'm done editing it. It's an hour long so the editing is extensive. I've re-recorded the practice a bunch of times, and I may have finally gotten a recording and explanation of the subject matter that I approve of. We shall see. Nonetheless you'll see what I'm doing. :-)

Love Jason Aldean! He's my hero, my idol. Can't wait to see him live in concert for the 1st time on May 25th in Durant, Oklahoma. And, can't to meet him for the 1st time on May 25th!!! I won the meet and greet contest to meet my hero Jason Aldean. I'm gonna give one of my songs I've written about him, and a song I wrote for him. And, I'm going to have him sign one of my songs that I wrote about him. I've been a huge fan of Jason Aldean since I was 10 years old. I've been listening to his music ever since his song "Dirt Road Anthem" & his "My Kinda Party" album came out in 2010. His song "Dirt Road Anthem" is how I got started on his music. He has gotten me through a lot of things, the things that I can't explain. He has gotten me through the tough times and through the difficult times. Like when it's my Dad's birthday or my Dad's death anniversary in December on new years eve, Jason always heals my heart and put a smile on my face. He keeps me from not breaking down in tears. Can't explain how much he means to me. He has done a huge change to my life, and really inspired me. So much that I wanna write my own songs and wanting to become a country singer and tour all over the world. I've written about 28 songs Jason. I even wrote a song about his wife Brittany. And, I even wrote a song about his son Memphis. I've been writing songs since 2013. He's the reason why I get to write songs, wanting to become a country singer., tour all over the world and make my own albums. I write songs everyday of my life. When I meet him for the 1st time on May 25th, I'll tell him how much he means to me. His music always puts a smile on me and make my heart happy. #ILoveJasonAldean #JasonAldeanIsMyHeroMyIdol #JasonAldeansBiggestFan #AldeansNumberOneFan #JasonAldean #RearviewTown #RideAllNightTour

@Nichoilas Adams My sister saw him last night here in New Jersey, and I'll find out from her in a little bit how it was. I like Jason, and she loves Nashville/pop country but not outlaw/red-dirt/traditional country. But I'm a fan of Jason's, I just didn't care for that rendition of "Johnny Cash" that much.

Nicholas Adams: Bless your heart for your comment. I love Jason's music and it resounds with me also .. His video of "Johnny Cash" was WAY better than that live performance that did not flatter him... His "The Truth" video touches me every time I hear it .. And love ALL his songs! Have a great time at his concert the 25th... And get your songs to him.. I'm sure they are great! He should love the one you wrote for his wife....

When Tracy Byrd released the song two years before, it did have more of a country sound (but still rockin'). John Rich (from Big & Rich ) actually co-wrote the song. Wonder why they didn't sing it...seems more like their sound? Aldean is a good singer and performer, I just wish he try penning some of his own music...he might surprise himself (and us). But yeah, your score was more than generous.

Jason does not have vocal control to sing live...that’s why I always scratched my head when he would win Entertainer of the Year over Keith Urban. Keith sounds amazing live...running around and has breath control like crazy. I found the latest reward show insulting...he was awarded Artist of the Year by George Strait...the performance was horrible, out of breath and forgot the words to Dirt Road Anthem.

It's no longer about being a good singer. It's about popularity. Jason sells out all his concerts. People love him. To be fair he isn't the only one that is getting awarded that doesn't quite , should I say is deserving. Kacey Musgraves comes to mind.

A few observations... 1. As mentioned by at least one other commenter, this is a cover with Tracy Byrd releasing the first version a couple years prior. While still a very "rock" driven song, Tracy's is a little more country (as is the album version of Jason's I would say compared to this live version). 2. I believe a 7.0 is the lowest score I have seen you give a song you've reacted to which prompted the question of are there songs that you record a reaction to but decide not to post because they are too bad?
@RockN2Country5 жыл бұрын
@TheNascarfan999 Dude, you're totally on the screws--that was the lowest score I'd given on the channel to date. It just wasn't country for me, and to invoke Johnny's name (in the title, no less) caused me a bigger problem than I wanted to have. But the scores I give have been higher since the requests have been that good. Like, really good. I expected more from a song with that title, especially from an artist as prolific as Jason, so it didn't strike me as country as much as pop-rock with a nod to country.
@TheNascarfan9995 жыл бұрын
@@RockN2Country Jason Aldean was the real creator of the movement to Arena Country (i.e. Arena Rock). This song was actually very early in his career before he was so well known, but it still fit his rock mold. I get the issue with the song title as one would expect the song to pay a little more tribute in some way.
