​@chris56269 true, but out of interest I looked at my old England shirts and found that it is only the Nike shirts that don't have it somewhere on the shirt out of all the modern designs. All my Umbro England shirts have it somewhere, at least once on every shirt. Sometimes it is inside the shirt on the neckline, sometimes it is on the shoulders, etcetera. The only Nike England shirt I have is the blue away shirt with a collar. I didn't even think about the St. George not being on the shirt with that one. It is only because they changed the colours on it and called it a playful reimagining of it; it isn't playful, it is disrespectful. That flag is an English iconographical image, it represents every English person already. It doesn't need changing to be inclusive because it already is, regardless of how its been used in the past. I've seen non English people who are disgusted by this, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, American. It isn't just the English.

Im Irish. But I think lets keep football flags for each country the actual flags. The FA and NIKE PR teams need to have a chat as they are putting out quite conflicting messages on this. The FA on the one hand have come out and said the flag design was "meant as a tribute to the 1966 World Cup winning team". NIKE conversely have said, "The England 2024 home kit disrupts history." So one says the design is a tribute to history and the other says it disrupts history. You can't have both! What an absolute joke. Just don't mess with the flag. Simple.

You can go to jail in some countries for denigrating or defacing their flag. Nike feels compelled to 'reinterpret' the English flag. Why? This could only happen to England. The price of football shirts have become ridiculous now. They used to have legislation in place to prevent teams from changing kits every year, they used to have to have a kit for 2 years minimum so it was fair for fans. Football is no longer a game for everyone, it has become the new golf, have to have money to enjoy it.
