Today, February 3, 2024 marks 20 years since Jason's death. It's a shame he decided to take his own life too soon. I don't judge him, he had his reasons and we must respect that, I just hope you now are in a better place and at peace. Always remembered never forgotten. Rest in peace Jason Raize Rothenberg.

Every time I come across a video of him performing especially this song, I can't help but want to break down in tears knowing that he isn't with us. i never saw him, never knew the guy until youtube, but i just feel a connection every time for some reason.

I guess we'll never know why he killed himself, of course there are rumors, one of them is that he was rejected by his family for being gay. Another rumor I've read is that he was sick with cancer, another rumor I've read according to Wikipedia is that he didn't know what to do next with his career, another rumor is that he was killed by the government. I don't know if any of those are true. Regardless of all this, he was an amazing actor, singer, and dancer. I hope you are at peace. Rest in peace 🕊️ Jason Raize. Still remembered, never forgotten.

I'm truly sorry for what happened to Jason. I can only imagine what it was like to be friends with such a beautiful and talented soul. While I never had the honor of seeing Jason perform live I did listen to the cast album for The Lion King when I was a young girl and I absolutely loved Jason as Simba. I did not see the musical until 2005 (sadly the year after Mr. Raize's tragic passing) But we have the soundtrack album, so it is his voice we hear singing that beautiful music. It is sad to just discover him and discover he is no longer among us.
