The premise of this movie is so simple and not any particular plot to speak of! But……..the action scenes where Jason kicks everyone’s backsides are pure gold! Simply some of the best fight choreography ever put on to film. And to top it all Stanley Tucci is terrifying!

I mean, they saw it's Jason Statham and decided "Yeah, I want to fight this guy". I'm pretty sure all baddies in these action movies are a part of some suicide pact. They just can't wait to get absolutely demolished and brutally murdered the second they see an opportunity to do so. So, that's why they're so eager to run at Statham, I think. It's not fighting, it's a form of suicide.

I've seen this movie at least 5+ times, over the years. Every time I see this scene, I think the diner gets destroyed. Keep forgetting what Kinnick does to lure the fight outside. Just a very action packed movie, with likeable characters. Holly was creepy, though. But when she parts ways with Nick and says - I want half- she became instantly likeable. That type of chick, being out there in the world, is scary. This reminder to us lesser dudes to not piss off the WRONG people.

Next time you watch this movie you should try extra hard to remember that the diner DOES NOT get destroyed. Before you start to watch it again close your eyes, relax and repeat to yourself "the diner DOES NOT get destroyed" "the diner DOES NOT get destroyed" repeat it again and again at least 10x while breathing slowly and deeply. The first and only time i watched this movie I was lucky because it never occurred to me that i should care if the diner got DESTROYED.

I think you're all missing the point of the scene (and I mean no disrespect). In the diner, at near the beginning of the scene, the guy is singing about finding life's sweet mystery...he's in LOVE, and for the first time in his life, he feels so full of emotion, he has to SING IT! The rest, the ass-kicking sequences, are there to support the beginning of the scene, they're 'backstory'. You're welcome. ( /sniffle...the tenderness brings a tear to my eye).

The only movie I watched for a few minutes and then couldn't watch any more was Wild Card with Sophia Vergara! She's better in a TV comedy, not a Statham movie! Ruined it for me.
