Guillmero Del Toro said he worked with Steven Seagal on an action movie once, and Del Toro was going through what he wanted to happen in this scene, and that Seagal's character would get pretty badly hurt in this fight before defeating his opponent, and Seagal just said "No." Del Toro asked why, Seagal said that his characters "do not get hurt. They are that good that they would never get hurt in a fight....". This is why Seagal has and always will suck. He thinks it makes the hero look weak to show them get cut and bruised, but the reality is it makes them look tougher to go _through_ it and still survive - Seagal's characters look weak, and unbelievable, because they never get so much as a scratch. This is why movies like The Raid, where the hero is barely standing by the end of the movie, are infinitely more engaging than any piece of shit Seagal movie.
