The 3 biggest problemas copywriters face: #1 Not knowing if your idea is good enough #2 Not having a clear mission for the copy #3 Not knowing how to structure the sales letter The secret to converting copy is to define your one belief and answer these 10 questions. The ONE THING your prospect must believe: this new opportunity is the key to their desire and it’s attainable only through this new mechanism. - Exemple: Getting rid of halitossis (new opportunity) is the key to avoiding social disaster (desire) and it’s attainable only through the germ-killing antiseptic Listerine (new mechanism) The 10 simple questions: 1. How is this unique? (brain activity spikes when we see something new) 2. What’s in it for me? (after that the reader problably gets skeptical) 3. How do I know this is real? (testimonials or case studies, reliable sources, scientific studies - proof is also copy, don’t be boring, storytelling) 4. What’s holding me back? (the magic conversion formula: The Real Problem + New Mechanism = Hope; how to find the real problem: reverse engineer answer to question 1) 5. Who/What’s to blame? (common enemy that the reader already believe are wrong) 6. Why now? (either act now or something bad is gonna happen) 7. Why should I trust you? (3 powerful ways / story lines: the expert, the robin hood, “i’ve been in your shoes”) --- end of emotional, start logical --- 8. How does it work? (more proof + explanation of mechanism) 9. How can I get started? (offer section, Agora example: “I put all this secret inside this special report, it’s yours free once you subscribe to this service”, show testimonials, false close “others have paid 10k dollars for this, but it’s not gonna cost you anywhere near that” but don’t reveal what is the price “I’ll tell you details in just a moment, but first I’m gonna give you some reports, bonus gifts” talk about the reports, then reveal the final price with value stack - everything they gonna get, total value of that, then final price seem like a bargain; offer guarantee) 10. What do I have to lose? (remind that if the reader don’t act, nothing is gonna change; don’t get too needy; push-pull - push away with a reason of “why this may not be right for you”, pull with what do they get to lose; or use the classic 3 options - do nothing, do yourself, let me do it for you)

For me i find long drawn out sales copy letters are a thing of the past Nowadays nobody has time or wants to be sold to You got to have a claim or a provocative question Followed by a presupposition the person will need to read on Desire- using positive “imagine” “picture this” type of scenarios Then a strong call to action or ELSE

Even my favorote International Studies Professor at the University of Denver would open his classes by asking, "who can we hate together?" (Blame, make fun of, what have you...) he studies a lot of propaganda including menus for women and children in the fight against human trafficking, the Drug Wars, and books like Hitler's Willing Executioners. Who we can blame is powerful!
@abhipatil48444 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by who can we hate together?
@brightpage10204 жыл бұрын
@@abhipatil4844 I don't hate anybody - just an acknowledgement that that is relational one of the strongest ways to bond 2 people or groups - you make them feel "in cahoots" with one another by pitting them against a common enemy. It's more common in propaganda, but that is also copy. That's all I meant. It's a dirty trick. It doesn't have to be as deep as - say - racism for example or classism, but even like: most harried, frazzled working moms with 3+ kids or toddlers at home generally are jealous of a well dressed "Pinterest Mom" who seems to ha e it all together and whose crafts look professional for days when their hairstyle looks like a bad Crayola meltdown. It doesn't have to be that deep. But trust me, those moms rub each other the wrong way ;) even without intended malice.
@abhipatil48444 жыл бұрын
@@brightpage1020 But how does that apply to Copywriting?
@brightpage10204 жыл бұрын
@@abhipatil4844 It's a common psychological ploy. That's all I meant. Like, "don't spend millions on lame fitness gimmicks or performance enhancers like [schmucks] do - instead try our new system for fitness that uses the power of muscle confusion (P90X), or Salsa dancing (Zumba) to whittle your middle the *right* way." That's am example. It's a subtle psychological dig at an "other", which is clearly unwise, or somehow offensive to "folks like you and me" who might be "better informed" or whatever. It makes the reader or audience feel like they are part of a special secret select group - like in on an inside joke.or whatever - like they have an advantage because of whatever you are hawking them. That this new product or service will give them the edge they migbt need to [let's say it's a pumpkin carving set for Halloween] blast their neighbor's traditionally overdone or obnoxious jack-o-lanterns out of the water of the community Halloween Decoration Competition - because this set has the coveted rivetor carver....that can create amazing designs in mere seconds..." (for imaginary example). Define an "other" who is somehow negative, less than, less informed, less savvy - presumably, than *your* buyer, etc..define an other that the voice of the company (the writer) can team up with the reader or target / intended audience to create a feeling of "we are winning." Amd show the reader they've got an inside track on the winning team.with this product, service, or company...
@brightpage10204 жыл бұрын
Hate's too strong a word, but defining an other that your mark can feel better than or have an advantage over in your copy, at least, can be a powerful motivator in getting them to purchase your product over others. Like, the State of California (an exaggerated, imaginary example, for effect): "Californian, Sick of having 48% of your income go to propagating homelessness? Sick of carrying your toddlers over the human feces and needles often left on the front stoop of your multi-miion dollar condo in San Francisco just to take them to get homeschooling supplies since their preschool closed? In that case, [elect Mayor Bloomburg / Trump / Biden" to affect real change and help keep California on this side of devastation." That sort of thing - hating the IRS / govt./ taxes / potentially dangerous people around kids...those are the common enemies in this one... it's not real - I was inspired by a KZbin Commodian for that one.

DO NOT DO THIS. 29:26 Evaldo, his "gooru", and Agora should be sued by anyone (and Amazon) who bought from this sales letter. This is not creating 'urgency'. It is fraud. This is why I can't stand copywriters like this who have zero regard for what they do. All they care about is getting money from prospects by any means necessary - including telling lies and making up stories. Hope this leads him in jail.

He says from the guru. In reality that date may as well been Any other day of any year but closer works better as it created urgency. This urgency was based on nothing. The date was made up.
