You English are hedge masters, I swear! Beautiful hedge work! A conifer hedge, how different....well...here in the US, anyway, lol. I bet it smelled good while you were working, and what a lovely sunny day for it, too. Great job.
@TexasRose505 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. I've watched only one video from here in the States where one guy did that good of a job. And it wasn't even a hedge, but a large bush. Yep, this guy here is truly a master of his profession. I really enjoy watching him work.
@bigjay249103 жыл бұрын
Conifers make beautiful hedges but are very unforgiving if you make a mistake. They need a lot of patience and steady hand. Cut too much off and they won’t recover. You’ll be left with a dead brown mess 🥲

Such a great video! Do you remove the handles for your attachment power bases? Or just the ones you use for hedge trimming and the bases you use for strimming have handles?

The short shaft, I make them myself, not difficult if you have the bits and good with a file, but I believe there is someone on eBay making and selling them
@jasongardener34255 жыл бұрын
Or if you can get a old ryobi hedge cutter head, as some have a short shaft and it will fit

Good job, mate! Any idea on what type of conifer that is? Plant name? Also how many times a year do you think it needs a trim? Will this ever need to be thinned out from the inside? Thanks.
@bigjay249103 жыл бұрын
Looks like Leylandi. Amount of trimming depends on the finish you’re after. The more you cut it the thicker it will become. Never cut these back hard, if you take the green off and go into the brown stuff your hedge is finished. General rule is no more than 1/3 of growth

Hate conifer with a passion. You end up with pimply arms and face. And God help you if any gets in your eyes. Nightmare to tidy up. Very heavy once put into bags. Just horrible stuff.
