Me watching this video while learning to do 2D VFX, at minute 16 i had to pause it and focus 100 on my animation because i felt scoled hahaha

I'm interested in the course, do i need to purchase other software before starting? thanks

For the 2D FX course, we recommend Toon Boom Harmony or Adobe Animate. For Harmony we offer access to student pricing for one year. Or you can teach yourself free software such as Blender's Grease Pencil or OpenToonz. It's more challenging that way, so we recommend the paid options. For Booms & Blasts, it's much easier to go without paying for software, since game engines are free, and Photoshop alternatives such as Krita are easier to pick up.

I'm not a student yet (also planning on buying), but from what I see for the booms and blast course you'll need Photoshop and Unreal engine or Unity. Unreal and Unity are both free, so you'll only need to get a subscription for Photoshop. However there's also Krita which a free open source painting software that's more than enough for the basic need. Hope this helps!
