I've got something different and unique for you today but I really think that you'll enjoy this lesson!
You and I are going to do some finger-picking on acoustic in this video.
I'm going to share my finger-picking technique with you (and a little secret that you can use at the end!).
And you'll learn two really cool progressions to play on your acoustic.
Keep it Metal,
Jason

Great video. I know this wasn't your plan but the different C chord shape was so cool. It is so similar sounding but super simple to go from C,D,G or any combo. Thanks

Guitar followed by BBQ and beers sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon 🎸🍖🍻 Acoustic can certainly be relaxing. I've tried playing the intro to Metallica "Nothing Else Matters" but it just wasn't sounding right. I had no knowledge of fingerstyle and this guitar instructor introduced me to using the thumb with fingers 2, 3 and 4. Works really well for this song. Although I'm still trying to improve some parts, it definitely sounds better than before, particularly when you play the chords. Do you sometimes play with other finger combinations?
@jasonstallworth
@jasonstallworth 3 жыл бұрын
I do…I also sometimes play with the classical style where your thumb is for the first 3 strings and 3 fingers for the other 3. I can’t say that I’m a classical guitarist by any means but that style is cool to use at times.

Awesome video, just as the fact that you're a one-man-army. I totally dig that attitude and I think I'm going to learn mixing and adding all the instruments by myself. When you know what you want to create and there are so many lazy/careless/indecisive musicians working with you it's a tiring fu*king thing. Cheers to you for sharing all your knowledge with us 🤘
