Great video Rob, I am just starting to upload some videos from my only visit to Java in 2005, I wish they were as good as yours.

Thanks but it's not a fair comparison. My first visit was in 1975 and last in 2010. I missed a few years in the 1980s (1980, 1981, 1982, 1985, 1989) and noughties (2005, 2007) but in later years I used to squeeze in extra visits.

Thank you for the video pak Rob. It's been a long time. Back in 2000, I joined your tour to Ambarawa and Cepu with Tjeng Tjiao and Harriman. It's a memorable trip and great experience. I live in Bandung and I keep in touch with Tjeng and Harriman. How are you? Hope you are well.

I'm 20+ years older like everyone else. I'm slowly uploading these videos as a 'Thank You' to all the people who were so kind to me over the years. Elsewhere on my website you'll find hundreds of pictures from PNKA days and thousands of pictures inside the sugar mills and of steam locomotives outside them and in the field. Right now, in this mad world, I'm surrounded by my large hillside English garden and railway souvenirs from the happy days gone by.

Yes, the bagasse is 'green energy'. Most of the other solid waste (mud, ash) can be recycled but looking at the waste water channels might not be advisable. Still it's biological and not chemical pollution for the most part.
