Not as easy as you make it look, sir. I've been at it for over an hour. Distant measurements are spot on, everything is level, and after an hour I finally got it pretty good, but could still use some tweaking. I think an 8 point correction option would have been much better.

@@AndreBaldwinASMR It did take me some time to get the hang of it. Now I'm able to get it adjusted pretty quickly without using keystone. I found the trick is to get the height good between the PJ and the screen. I ordered screw type adjustable legs and attached them to a small wooden top to set the PJ on. That allowed me to tweak the height.

Hi! I have the bengq v7050i and a als screen, the projector and screen is aligned but the right side of the screen is a lite bit blurry, what can be the problem? Thanks in advance! Much love frome Sweden.

Hmm... you might make sure the ALR screen is not leaning forward or backwards at all (maybe it's not completely level vertically). I'd maybe confirm the projector is squared up to the screen and recalibrate it. Outside of that, iflt may be worth an email to BenQ about it

Just depends on how dark you want your black levels. The screen won't be as bright the lower gain you choose, but the blacks will appear darker. I think 0.8 is a good fit for this projector though

It has hdmi ARC, so the audio should be passed through the HDMI to the TV or soundbar depending on your setup. Using the PCM output setting, it should pass Atmos audio

I always think about center channel placement too. How do most people do it? Acoustic transparent screens?

Ended up buying a new cabinet made by Salamander. Several of their models have wide shelves with acoustically transparent cloth faces so you can put a center on the shelf and a projector on the top. The added benefit is our oversized center has failed WAF since the day it arrived so hiding it for the win.

The image is incredibly sharp imo. Colors are bright and looks fantastic with hdr due to the brightness of the laser. Black levels won't compare to a TV, but most pj's won't. You gotta determine whether image size means that much to you. I've made the comment to my wife that it literally looks like a nice TV with how bright it is... just gotta get the right screen material to properly block ceiling lights

@@LifeofBliss Appreciate the reply! It would be replacing a 55" OLED in my living room but I figure 77" OLED, 85" fald lcd, or 100" UST w/screen are all around the same price but at 10 feet away I'm looking at 30 degree, 35 degree or 40 degree field of view respectively. Decisions decisions. 🤔

When you're standing off to the side of the screen, there is a bit. But its way out of regular viewing angles. I haven't noticed any while watching content, this combo looks incredible to be honest

it's not 4k projector it's HD but acceptable 4k content like Samsung lsp7t because both not shifted video to 4k resolution.

It is a true 4k projector, not pixel shifting

@@scotttild if you got a bone to pick, I suggest you call up BenQ and speak to them. This was verified with their team several times, that it is not pixel shifting. True 4k refers to a resolution of 4096 x 2160. 4k UHD is a resolution of 3840 x 2160. This is why it's labeled true 4k. Please get your definitions correct before falsely correcting others.
