Exploring Abandoned RR Spurs & Trains Passing At Railway Crossing Middletown Ohio! Norfolk Southern

BIG Trains Pass At Railroad Crossing, Abandoned Railroad Spurs & Abandoned Railroad Crossings! These Trains Are In Middletown, Ohio On The Norfolk Southern Railroad Dayton District! Includes A CSX Fast Freight Train At A Railroad Crossing & DPU Locomotive Shoving Train Past Old Train Station. Includes soccer game shorts, Middletown Fire Department and the pets.
First we get a close in depth look at an industrial railroad line in downtown Middletown, Ohio. This used to be a very busy line with numerous customers. Today there are only two left and most of the line will never be used again. A railroad bridge remains on the line and numerous railroad crossings. I do have videos of railroad switching on this line at the customer near the end of active track. This is not a very good area for railfans. Drugs, crime and poverty make the area a little sketchy. I have been approached twice by people wanting to know what I was doing when I was filming from public property. This railroad spur comes off the Norfolk Southern Dayton District. Part of the spur goes by Smith Park which is a gigantic soccer complex. That area is very nice and Lillia had 4 tournament games to play there over the weekend and that is why I was there to film trains. There was over a couple hours of downtime between two of the games. I filmed while she was there with her team. They tied two games and lost two games over the weekend. This video features a minute of the Saturday afternoon game.
I went across the Great Miami River to catch a fast CSX train in West Middletown. That train was booking! It was a cool shot watching it pass the old building. CSX is on 160.230 and NS uses 160.980 along with the EOT of course.
Next we go over to the old train station in Middletown. After waiting for hours I was thinking about leaving when I heard chatter on my radio. I heard two trains talking but I didn't know what mile post I was near so I didn't know where they were. I started filming a westbound freight when after about a minute a second train showed up running eastbound. That was a great shot at the railroad crossing and one of the trains had a DPU on the rear. Look how long the westbound train was!
Lillia played 2 games on Saturday. They had two games on Sunday with the first one at 8am and the second one at 1pm. I wore the wrong shirt. I wore Aubreys team shirt but I didn't have one for Lillias team. Part 2 will show part of the games on Sunday with the only goal that our team scored. I got it on video in the very last game. We also see the pets and the slide show that comes from the video.
