Knives&Lint the idea of a a Duo of fools that support and enable one another is an idea that is thousands of years old, and for good reason. All of us can identify with the idea of having a partner in crime with whom we are totally simpatico, whether we have someone like that in our lives or not. not to mention the gimmick of having one of the characters not talk, which guarantees that the other character will always go along with what they are doing, or if they object, it has to be in a very dramatic way using body language or gestures or whatever. Of course, the gimmick of Silent Bob being able to talk once in awhile when it's important is great and is a wonderful dramatic heightening device. but In fairness to Kevin and Jason, they really do do a good job together. Jason Mewes has a wonderful natural presence and energy that is quite Charming and infectious. the right honey mustard can improve almost any sandwich!

Iliana Gonzalez I suppose, it's a shame because not long ago he basically performed as Randall in the videogame 'Randall's Monday' (which, for anyone who hasn't played it, would definitely recommend if you like askew + it's cheap these days) so I just assumed he was really passionate about that character type, it's so iconic and unique. How the hell have I never seen this channel before? I was 25 when Clerks hit the theaters and it was so relatable to me, then Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and J & SB Strike Back came out and it just was a love fest over the whole Askewniverse. I haven't been a huge fan of some of his movies that are out of that universe, but I will say that Red State was a movie that was a complete 180 of what I was expecting, but really loved it. I hope that one day he can, either with CGI or animation retcon the ending to the original ending he envisioned because it sounds awesome. I know Kevin Smith will never read this, but I wish I could tell him that his true fans would love to see the Askewniverse stories continued and see what these characters are doing now. To those people that complain about him not using original ideas or material really need to get their collective heads out of their asses. First off it seems that 80% (real made up stat) of the movies out there are sequels. I've noticed that Hollywood no longer numbers the sequels and I'm thinking it's because they're going back to the well 5, 6, 7, or more times. I'm sure most of people that made their "Kevin Smith is (insert generic dumb ass comment here), hate their jobs and hate the way their lives have turned out. The only way these miserable assholes feel any kind of misplaced joy is to find someone living their life doing what they love to do and try to tear them down. God forbid people try to improve their lives to feel joy when they can spread hate, especially anonymously online.

I can attest to the popularity of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. When I was in elementary school it was the stuff of legend, and every kid who could get their hands on it worshiped it. We all knew there was more to the movie universe, but none of us knew about any of the other flicks. Those kids (including me) are now in their mid to late twenties and ready for a sequel.

Portal Of Awesome completely took the words out of my mind, that's it's scary!!! When I was middle school, I saw the movie at Hollywood Videos in the comedy section by curious accident and yeah, been integrated in my day to day psyche to this very day; watched it a few days ago sober and just couldn't stop crying and pissing my pants... just all the inside jokes and satirical mentions and metaphors are so nostalgically awe inspiring, it leaves me weeping... Then I went on to Dogma and around the time I also became an atheist, that movie was just legendary to and for me as well; esp with having people I loved with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, Will Ferrell, Eliza Dushku(faith from Buffy), Shannon Elizabeth, Jamie Kennedy, Judd Nelson, Mark Hamill, George Carolin, Jason Biggs, Alan Rickman, Linda Fiorentino, Salma Hayek, The Dawson! lol, Wes Craven, Morris day and the motherfucking time, and so much more. It's just unfathomable that these movies were made the way they were in a low budget/unknown way and are now huge cult movies that are easily recognizable by most people from early teens to people in their forties and maybe fifties... time truly does surprise you in many ways it seems huh?

i doubt Kevin ever reads these, but in case he does i wanted to give my little thought to the new movie. since it is a reboot what if at the end you end it how you want, but do cut to credits, then mid credits you actually do the reboot with a new Jay and Bob someone who you really like and think that will do it, and have them walking and standing in front of The Zed, and give the equivalent of "something about this feels right" and have them start dealing and smoking in front of the store. so now you have your new Jay and Bob rebooted anyway into your new true north universe. that way you can get yourself a new Jay and Bob to go with your new Clerks so if you wanted to do another go at it, if you felt like your too old to do it or didnt want to get in front of the camera again you don't have to.

As much as i was looking forward to Clerks 3, I had no idea what you were planning on saying in it. Clerks 2 ended so strong with, Randalls jail speech, Dante finally getting engaged, and the two best of friends owning their own business. So if you ever feel bad 3 didnt happen just remember how well the last flick ended. And yes! #JayandSilentBobreboot Jay & Bob Strike back was the first movie I saw from the universe you created and it opened me up to your career. Jungle Love ending sequence is one of the most epic endings in any film imo. Cant wait for the new movie. Also, so proud of Jay for staying sober for so long, Stay strong brother!

If Kev can get permission to use the Deadpool character in his own film, that would be incredible. Not only because of the corporate greed that may prevent it, but also because Jay and Silent Bob would then become a part of the Marvel Universe having interacted with him. Even if they would be on the outer fringe of it.

It's strange that I saw this video in my recommendations a few days ago, and I came to look for it this morning, February 17, 2019, when the video came out exactly 2 years ago on February 17, 2017. Then I go to google it thinking "oh I bet it probably got canned like the other two movies he talked about" and I find an article from 14 hours ago announcing that it will start production this month.
