The Batman needs to be like Se7en, just a nice crime-thriller film (but not Rated-R of course since WB would never allow it). Batman absolutely does not need a ginormous budget for all out action, explosions, etc. He is the world's greatest detective for a reason, so make it more of a detective movie, dammit! Of course you can have his villains in there while also making it a detective movie, but for the love of god DO NOT make it all action and explosions and shit! Give it $50-$75 million and let them roll with that.

I just don't like when people complain about the race of an actor playing a character when the casting director must have seen something in the actor they hired for the role. I prefer to judge actors by their performance, not race or ethnicity.

They're probably going to go so far-out in the TV show, but in the comics Rand gets the Iron Fist by beating a dragon to death with his bare fists, so the martial arts prowess is very much a prerequisite to the superpowers. I'm predicting that they'll keep the part where Iron Fist and Steel Serpent are the champions of their respective Capital Cities of Heaven and are only bestowed their more fantastical abilities due to being the best fighters around. I'm also predicting that like in the comics, every usage of the Iron Fist drains Rand so that he can't just solve every problem with it, and has to instead make up for the difference with martial arts -- both because he'd be too OP otherwise, and because the effects are probably quite costly.
