Met Lee Haney at the 2019 Mr Olympia the most pleasant person in the world. He gave me such a great compliment I'll never forget. And coming from him it means the world. I struggle with low self esteem but he made me feel great. And when im feeling like shit I can hear his voice and that just picks me right up. True legend and a genuine person.

I was at that 91 Orlando Olympia as far as I'm concerned that's the greatest Olympia ever! And what a routine he put on along with many other great ones!

As a former NPC Promoter. The reason I didn’t allow PAM SPRAY or HOT STUFF is that the competitors would get it everywhere back stage. So there was always an extra cleaning cost on top of all your rental cost for the auditorium. HOT STUFF wasn’t allowed due to irritations caused by menthol in product.

Didn’t know anything about his personality before this podcast, Milo’s Sarcev is a true bodybuilder. You can tell bodybuilding is on his mind and he was like a kid in a candy store interviewing Lee. Great podcast, will definitely watch more

Great episode D.J.! I can agree about what Lee Haney said about the sleeping after working out. I worked as a correctional officer 👮‍♀️ inside T.D.C (Texas department of corrections) prison. And the inmates that were in the shu would do nothing but eat there breakfast at 4am then 500 push-ups sleep till 11 then eat there lunch after they would do pull-ups between 200-300 then nap until 5pm for dinner, they would do another 500-1000 push ups and curls then eat honey buns, they were solid 210-265, (of course not low body fat and stage ready) but between 12-22% body fat. the shorter guys weighed less , my coworker and myself would talk to a couple inmates and they measured their arms, some had 18 inch arms, there was 1 guy names big David , 6’5 290 he had 20 inch arms, no visible abs but still a tank , they would work out every day to keep from losing their mind, didn’t worry about over training or rest,

@MdoubleHB every Athlete on top of their game is taking something. No matter which sport we talk about. And guess what,in a doping free world there would still be the same athletes in the top ranks because they are the hardest workers and the most genetically gifted anyways. Only their numbers ( in terms of speed,weight, anything,..) would be a little smaller. And now,huge secret : Why do athletes take drugs? Because they enable them to train even harder without killing themselves.That also results in a better performance. And todays world is all about performance,thats why drugs are needed.

Lee Haney's posing music was indeed the soundtrack to the third-rate film "Excalibur". However, the music was composed by Richard Wagner, one of our greatest German composers, under the title Götterdämmerung. The sequence that Haney chose at the time was "Siegfried's Funeral March". So much time has to be. The Posigkur was impressive, you have to say that. But the best posing I've ever seen on a bodybuilding stage was by Mohammed Makkawy in 1984, to the music "The Great Gate of Kiev". from "Modest Mussorgsky". Makkawy's performance embodied everything that bodybuilding can be at its best: art, aesthetics and elegance with a fantastic charisma. That is exactly what is missing today. That's exactly why I lost interest in performance bodybuilding, and like me, so have many others. The last one who inspired me despite the huge crowd was Günter Schlierkamp, ​​who was cheated out of the Mr. Olympia title in 2002. He would have been a worthy representative of the elite in bodybuilding better than anyone else. But you'd rather take one of the "bald-headed people with maximum pigmentation". Unfortunately, the sport we all once loved is slowly but surely breaking down. I don't understand why the associations don't see that.

Haney's modest when he says his back was because because of his narrow hips. That was only part of it. Its those low lat insertions because of his genetic attachments of his lats. They were phenomenal. He smoked Dorian in 91 he would still smoke them today with that 91 physique!

I use to judge tbey ban Pam cause it was going all over floor and super slippery. People were falling down getting hurt. If they see at local level they ban you or doing wine too. Pam worked great
