Amazing how he never got discouraged. Takes a lot of self belief to do what he did.

Yeah, self-belief and having no other option than drug dealing. Sometimes being at rock bottom is a good thing.

Because he didn’t do it for money, He was passionate about music and no amount of failure is gonna change what your passionate about. That’s why it’s so important to do what you love. 💯

This is such an important story. He had to put in the work. Self releasing his album, going to record stores and distributing copies of his album by himself. He earned his success.

In life no one is above you , but God . Yes there are people who deserve respect in this world . No one is above you . You can in Jay Z level or surpass , if we're willing to apply constant repition . Literally everyday writing rhymes. If we apply what he did we can do it . No one is God they just put in the work. Practice , practice, practice. Ive listen to a lot of hip hop up to today and jay z is one of the most skilled and witty with words. Nipsey Hussle was a hugely influenced and inspired by Jay Z too.

After watchin the kanye documentary and this interview, its a fact that these a&rs are nothing except for a connection. I saw kanye playing "all falls down" in front of so many roc a&rs, they never took him seriously until Dame and Hov did. The artist should be the kings and bishops on the chess board.

I just finished watching Jeen Yuhs the other day looking forward to watching the last episode today needless to say it gave me chills while I'm not a fan of Kanye as a person but I was a huge fan of his musically for a minute now and just watching his sheer grit and determination was almost terrifying it's like he saw the vision before anybody else did although nobody believed in him at the beginning he just kept going kept grinding until he made his dream come true he dreamt of signing with Roc A Fella records and made it happen I was in awe just watching his journey

I love Hov, and This is dope, but it was a group collective effort. Biggs and Dame also played a crucial role in Hov’s career. Instead of saying I so much, it should’ve been more We’s, Us’s.

I got turned down by two record labels and two radio stations who all thought I sucked to just like Jay z so that's why I'm doing it myself just like Jay z I'm about to open up my on radio station and record label so I can find my fans And not let the music industry stop me from being heard if you really want to be a music star People take Jay z advice and do it yourself don't try to get other radio stations To play your music if you don't know what there going to think about you And don't try to get Signed to other record labels because they might think you suck to be independent always do it yourself
