Extreme Stove for World's Coldest Weather. Thick like Tank

That's it. I'm done. I now have the best wood stove on the planet. I mean it when I say that. This stove is like no other and it's been hand-made for me. It's beautiful and tough and rugged and thick and hot. It has traveled across Canada to be in my tent and that's where it's staying.

What a stove! Jerry thinks long term, that's obvious. That stove will become a family heirloom one day, that serves to remind your grand-kids of time they spent with you. (Yeah, I expect it will last that long.) Same can be said for the parka. Top quality stuff.

I know you will cherish that stove and your moms boyfriend must be very special guy to teach you a lot about camping and to make you that stove. Hello Jay. I commented once before about the Northern Lights but never said what I am going to say now. I started watching your channel when I got sick with covid in early January 2022. I honestly had thoughts that I may never recover and I searched for stuff I like doing and enjoy but have not in a long time, even before I got covid. I searched camping in the winter or something like that and one or more of your extreme cold camping videos showed up. I enjoyed watching it and it made me feel like I am there. I love Winter and the outdoors and I don't get to do it enough living here in New Jersey. Luckily I have fully recovered but I was scared that I never will and it took some time. Because of your videos I am now cooking more stuff at home which I never did much of myself before. I just needed this sort of idea (like watching you cook) and now I am making hot dogs, omelettes and frying bacon and other things on a griddle I bought in Walmart. So I just wanted to tell you thanks and you should start a some kind of camping cooking channel. All of the food you cook looks delicious and you make it look easy and is an inspiration. So thanks again and I am looking forward to more videos.

Hey Jay awesome video again. When you rode up on your sled I said to myself I want that coat as it looked like a big sweat shirt and I love your new stove as I have always wanted to add on to the house and put up a 4 seasons room and put a stove in and pretend like I was roughing it but still get the benefits of a stove and wood burner. My dad got his greatgrama stove that she cooked on and heated the house and he always wanted it when she passed away and about 45-50 years ago when I was still living at home we went to Iowa where I'm living now and he and I and a couple others loaded it up in a U-Haul trailer and hauled it to Cleveland Ohio and he took that thing apart and cleaned from top to bottom and even had parts rechromed and it looks awesome and he used it as a bar and and had some flowers on it but it looked like he bought it off the showroom floor as it looks brand new but my dad passed away 5 years in August and when my step mom passes away that is one thing I want of my dad's no matter how much it costs to get it here.in Iowa. Plus when I was in high school we would go down in the park system and grill breakfast and dinner over a campfire and stayed warm even in the deadest of winter and a friend of my brothers family would go also and we always had fun plus I was used to it as I was in scouting from around 10 years old till I was around 16 and I went camping every month maybe 2 weekends a month and my very first campout in a tent was in a Army tent for 3-4 and we would throw a bale of straw down to cover the ground. Boy do I miss those days as a kid. But love your videos and I was wondering if I could get some information on the lady that made your coat how big does she go, does she have a website ? Can't wait for your next video. With the new stove you can throw whole logs in instead of cutting wood up.

When you get time, get some exhaust assembly paste & apply it to the mating surfaces of all your chimney joints, just so it’s 100% gas tight. I know you have a lot of air flow through the tent but if you can avoid any carbon monoxide leaks then all the better. I couldn’t tell if the stove was vented straight out to the chimney or if it has a baffle plate ? I purchased a wicked cooking pan this week Jay, it’s called a Ridgemonkey toaster pan, it’s awesome to cook toasted sandwiches with & other stuff. Have a search for one.
