The only problem I have with it as of now is the fake vents and perhaps how they intend for us to put us plates on the front. Both of these can most likely get fixed as this car will definitely have a lot of aftermarket support. Maybe some proper aero and a custom spoiler for the back will be added.

This is what everyone in the world expected the Supra to be. And instead we got a watered down BMW Z4 lol 😂 The new Supra should have been the celica and the FT1 the new Supra. Everything about the FT1 was perfect 👌 there was so much soul in it. This car was worthy of the name Supra.

Yondoodle really because the car has been offered in the same layout since it’s inception starting with the first gen. Yes there was a few rally cars. But the car has always been front engine rear wheel drive. The very reason we have a Supra is because of the celica.

If I'm not mistaken, most people complained about the Ft-1 taking on the name of supra. It's almost like the idea Toyota had was to create an affordable LF-A. Which is not saying much since the lfa started at 400k. Supra fans were worried of not being able to afford it basically. Props to Toyota because they listened to their supra fans so In simplistic terms you can view the current supra as Toyota's answer to an affordable version of the FT-1. Now this is where I personally and currently stand, the FT-1 styling was instantly iconic on it's own and had made it's own identity with in the short period it was unveiled. I'm disappointed, not because it isn't the new the supra, but because the FT-1 never made production. As iconic the supra is, there was and is nothing supra about the FT-1 and I liked it.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best looking modern Japanese car, period. The proportions are spot-on. I love the British-esque long hood, short and sloped rear end, sports car look. I wonder what's in the engine bay. Judging from the length of the hood, it looks like a straight 6. Or at least, i hope it is. Twin turbo inline 6. Man, that would be amazing. And this FT-1 stands out amongst all other cars' designs. It looks phenomenal and strays away from the generic designs we've seen since the late 2000s to today. It's very, very beautiful. I’m here to tell the world in the future that we were not expecting Toyota to destroy the legendary Supra with a BMW Z4 white label. I could not afford a Supra when it first came out but have been eagerly waiting to purchase now that I can afford one. What was promised to what has been released are two different things. What we saw in the concept was another legend. What we got is a white label BMW Z4 that has always been available from BMW. I can’t describe how disappointment I am in Toyota.

Unfortunately just like the unique looking frs, so many teenagers are going to be driving this that it will render the exotic qualities of this car invisible. Just as the stingray corvette. So affordable u see on at every red light. I remember seeing a sting ray for the first time and being blown away by the design. Now its in the class of a camaro or mustang.

I was able to see this car in person at the Chicago auto show and it looks incredible in real life.If Toyota could bring this to production at around $120,000 then I think it would be big competition for cars like the Audi R8 and Lexus LFA.

For it to be a reasonably priced car the masses can afford no DCT, no AWD, no 500hp inline six so no GTR fighter. maybe a Celica gt 350hp 3.5 v6 direct injection 6 speed manua $40k . Supra same chassis with AWD, Twin turbo 3.5 v6 500hp ,dual clutch tranny, body mods that set it apart from celica that could be the GTR fighter. you can change any or all that but you get the idea but it will probably be a hybrid pos

sid johnson I disagree... Ford can make a 500HP car that middle class people can afford, I think Toyota should do the same...if the car gets the Supra name...it would be unfair if it did not outperform the former gen. I'm thinking in the 60's is realistic.

+GlassTopRX7 I really hope that it will not be DCT only. Being a joint venture with BMW it might be available with a manual transmission. I know a DCT is faster and all but a sportscar is about feel and not math. I will drive a manual as long as there are manual cars to get even if I will be forced to drive only old cars then.

rabbitphobia Yeah it is very sad. I for example am looking to buy a medium sized wagon with a bit of grunt under the hood. Basically I am forced to take either an audi S4 or a BMW 335 because no other car in question has a manual. If it had one I'd take the Volvo V60 in a heartbeat because I love the design and the engine but nope I don't want an automatic. The only other option is to try and find a decent 10+ year old car.

This is where it all really comes down to. This car would definitely be in the 150-200 thousand dollar range, which would make it unobtainable by many people including myself. I have the 3.0 Supra GR and honestly it doesn't look that bad in person, but this concept car is just so much more beautiful
